upper hand. The wine impresses with its fascinatingly changeable personality and makes opening each bottle an exciting surprise.
VINIFICATION
Separate vinification of the two varieties, partly spontaneous fermentation, eight-month ageing on the fine lees in wooden or steel barrels.
SITUATION / SOIL
Höfl unterm Stein in Söll near Tramin is situated on a south-eastern slope at 480 to 550 m above sea level. Vines 15-25 years old on wire frames thrive on strong, loamy
limestone gravel soil, producing unique wines with an extremely low yield of 50 hl/ha.
