CHARDONNAY Fragrant, structured and elegant Having become part of the range since the 1986 vintage, Chardonnay was the second wine to be marketed by the estate, after Sauvignon Blanc. Cloudy Bay Chardonnay comes from vineyards located in the sub-regions of Omaka, Brancott, Rapaura and Renwick and requires the same time and precision as a great Burgundy white: around 2 years of oak ageing. TASTING NOTES Immediately seductive and perfumed, with aromas of white peach, apricot, flowering trees and warm hay. The palate is concentrated and inviting: hints of apple and pear balanced by vanilla, hazelnut and a delicate saline note. The finish is long and fascinating, refreshed by a hint of citrusy acidity.
