Don Papa Gayuma - meaning 'love potion' - pays homage to the unique rituals performed by the shamans of Mount Kanlaon and Isla del Fuego; it is aged in American ex- bourbon oak casks for three years, before passing through a double cask finish: 6 months in ex-Rioja high-roasted casks followed by 3 months in rich, warm and smoky toasted oak casks that previously held Scotch whisky from Islay. Dark amber in colour, the nose is immediately a peaty embrace, for a sip with hints of soft, delicate vanilla, light orange peel, intense cocoa and hints of clove and mint, towards a smoky, spicy finish.
