Characteristics The continuous still at 58% vol. and the 'Charantais' system, recognised by the 1972 decree as being of superior quality thanks to the elimination of impurities and the consequent obtainment of a more refined and elegant spirit, are used between Gers and Landes. In Hors d'Âge, the minimum ageing period of 7-8 years takes place in new barrels (30%) of 400-litre Gascony oak.
Soil: sandy-loamy.
Grape varieties: Ugni Blanc, Baco and Folle Blanche.
Tasting notes: on the nose, aromas of vanilla, plums, toasted oak and yellow fruit are expressed on the palate with a beautiful length and savoury, spicy notes.
