Opus One 2017 California...

Opus One 2017 California...

The winter of 2017 ended a five-year drought with January recording the most rainfall in over 20 years. The abundant rainfall continued into March, causing a modest delay in
budbreak, and pushing bloom back by two weeks. Increased soil moisture allowed for healthy vine growth and development. The summer, in turn, was warm and punctuated
by occasional heat waves. Despite Mother Nature's variability, favorable weather in August provided optimal conditions for fruit development and maturation. Superb flavors
and excellent ripening led to an earlier than expected harvest, which commenced on the 5th of September.

The Opus One 2017 offers a harmonious aromatic balance of rich dark fruit, stems of roses, and earthy forest floor. The juicy entry offers a round, silky mouthfeel with just
enough acidity to complement the satin texture. This seductive wine shows flavors of black cassis, black cherry and a hint of cocoa powder. The fine-grained, plush tannins
evolve into a long, supple finish. A supremely age-worthy wine, it will delight now and for many years to come.

Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon 80%, Petit Verdot 9%, Cabernet Franc 5%, Merlot 5% and Malbec 1%

Skin Contact: 20 days

Barrel Aging: 17 months in new French oak
Gewürztraminer Passito DOP...

Gewürztraminer Passito DOP...

Vinification

The grapes are harvested in September and left to dry for 4 months in a well-ventilated room. In December, the dried grapes are selected again. Drying results in a 2/3
weight loss, as well as a concentration of sugar, aromas, acidity and tannins. Due to the high sugar content, the yeast cannot carry out the fermentation completely and
thus a natural residual sweetness remains. After a fermentation of 6 weeks, a longer bottle fermentation takes place.
Tasting

The 'Cashmere' Gewürztraminer Passito presents itself with a golden yellow colour with a light amber hue. Its bouquet is exquisite and intensely aromatic: dried apricots,
candied fruits, rose petals, a hint of orange and caramel. On the palate, the Passito is very concentrated, with a harmonious interplay between inviting sweetness and
refreshing acidity, elegant and of exquisite level.
San Giovanni della Sala...

San Giovanni della Sala...

San Giovanni Della Sala
Orvieto DOC Classico Superiore

Climate: 2020 will be remembered as a tendentially dry year. The winter, almost completely devoid of rain, was dominated by temperatures that were not too cold. The
spring weather, which arrived slightly later than in previous years, was characterised by mild days and temperatures above seasonal averages, with the exception of a few
cooler periods at the beginning of April. Then, from June until almost mid-August, the warm and dry weather led to an early ripening of the grapes. A summer thunderstorm
towards the end of August refreshed the later varieties such as Grechetto and Procanico, ensuring that they reached a good degree of ripeness while maintaining freshness
and fragrance. The harvest of Grechetto, Viognier and Pinot Bianco for San Giovanni della Sala began around the last week of August and ended with the harvest of
Procanico towards the middle of September.

Vinification: on arrival at the winery, the grapes were vinified separately by variety to enhance the varietal characteristics. Part of the must underwent cold maceration,
remaining in contact with its skins for about 6 hours at a temperature of 10 °C, before being combined with the must obtained from the soft direct pressing of the grapes. The
must thus obtained was transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 16 °C. The wine remained on its lees for a
few months to improve its structure, elegance and minerality until it was blended and bottled.

Historical data: San Giovanni was born from the vineyards of the ancient Castello della Sala from the union of indigenous Grechetto and Procanico grapes with those of Pinot
Bianco and Viognier to tell the Orvieto Classico according to a new style. The first vintage of Castello della Sala Orvieto Classico was 1990.

Tasting notes: San Giovanni della Sala has a light straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. On the nose, pleasant notes of tropical fruit combine with light mineral
sensations. On the palate it stands out for its balance between structure and freshness with good flavour and a pleasant persistence of yellow flesh fruit.

Alcohol content: 12.0% Vol.
Pian delle Vigne 2016...

Pian delle Vigne 2016...

Pian delle Vigne 2016
Classification DOCG
Vintage 2016

Climate: The 2016 vintage was characterised by a winter with little rain and a mild spring. These climatic conditions favoured a slight anticipation of budding and flowering,
which was made up for by the fruit set, which took place regularly. The summer, which tended to be cooler than in 2015, was characterised by temperatures above the
seasonal average, particularly in July and August. The light rainfall during the month of September and the consequent drop in temperature allowed the grapes to complete
their ripening in an optimal manner, enhancing the freshness of the Sangiovese and giving the wine soft and balanced tannins.
Harvesting for Brunello di Montalcino took place at the end of September.

Vinification: on arrival in the winery the grapes were destemmed and softly crushed and then transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place.
Maceration lasted about fifteen days at a temperature of 28 °C. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was transferred to oak barrels of between 30 and 80 Hl where it began
its maturation in wood. After two years Pian delle Vigne left the large cask and began its long refinement in the bottle.

Historical data: Tenuta Pian delle Vigne, located 6 km south-west of Montalcino, takes its name from the village of the same name, where there is a characteristic railway
station from the 19th century. The estate consists of 184 hectares, 65 of which are planted with vines, mainly exposed to the south-west at an altitude of about 130 metres
above sea level. Pian delle Vigne has always pursued the philosophy of using large casks, which preserve the extraordinary integrity of the Sangiovese fruit and give Brunello
its characteristic vibrant elegance. The winery has been owned by the Antinori family since 1995, the year of the first harvest of Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino
DOCG.

Tasting notes: the wine has an intense ruby red colour. The nose is complex, with notes of ripe red fruit, reminiscent of cherries, well in harmony with floral scents. The
bouquet is completed by sensations of chocolate, tobacco, clove and both aromatic and balsamic herbs. A vintage, the 2016, capable of expressing great finesse and
elegance and to give the wine a good freshness accompanied by soft tannins and an excellent length of taste. Pleasant notes of spice and tobacco return on the finish.

Alcohol content: 14% Vol.
