Classification<br /><br />South Tyrol DOC<br />Growing region<br /><br />One third of the grapes grow in Girlan on the hills of Überetsch, at an altitude of 450 - 500 m above sea level, on vines that are 10 to 15 years old. Two thirds, on the other<br />hand, come from Kurtatsch in the Unterland. The combination of the growing soils, gravelly to clayey and rich in minerals, gives this wine a unique character.<br /><br />Vinification and ageing<br /><br />The grapes are harvested by hand and delivered in small containers. After a short maceration and gentle whole bunch pressing, the must is clarified from the lees by natural<br />sedimentation. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Maturation for 8 months in stainless steel tanks on the fine lees without<br />biological acid reduction.<br /><br />Wine portrait:<br />The intense as well as aromatic fragrance and its full character demand dishes with a strong taste.
