Vecchie Viti NIPOZZANO 2021...

Vecchie Viti NIPOZZANO 2021...

Nipozzano Vecchie Viti 2021
Chianti Rufina Riserva DOCG

This wine, chosen by the Frescobaldi family to continue the tradition of reserving a Private Collection for its new-born family members, originates from the oldest vines at
Castello Nipozzano, which have a deep root system. Of great complexity and harmony,it is aged for 24 months in oak barrels according to the ancient Tuscan tradition.

Climatic trend
The year 2020 ended with an autumn in which the rainfall of the period was sufficient to replenish the groundwater tables. Winter 2021 was instead characterised by
moderate rainfall and mild temperatures. Spring was cool and dry initially, followed by a month of abundant rainfall in May that replenished the water reserves of the
countryside. A lack of rainfall in summer helped to balance the water stress of the vines and brought great richness of colour and aroma to the grapes. Beneficial rains,
followed by abundant hill breezes, allowed the grapes to conclude their ripening cycle in extraordinary elegance and perfect health. The 2021 vintage was a rich one in
which the spirit of the terroir emerged with great energy and vigour, allowing the production of wines that fully reflect the unique character of Nipozzano.

Technical notes
Wine Variety: Sangiovese and traditional complementary varieties
Alcohol content: 13.5%
Maturation: 24 months in barrels

Vinification and ageing
The Sangiovese grapes and traditional complementary varieties were transferred to the cellar immediately after harvesting. Here, once destemmed, the spontaneous
fermentation process took place in concrete tanks, after which the wine remained in the vats to complete maceration. Its journey continued in wooden barrels, where the
wine remained to mature for the time necessary. The subsequent period in the bottle allowed a greater balance of all the components, making it possible to fully appreciate
its essence once the bottle was opened.

Tasting notes
Nipozzano Vecchie Viti 2021 has an intense and vibrant ruby-red colour. The bouquet is complex and elegant, with clear fruity and floral notes characteristic of the grape
varieties. The red and black fruit is accompanied by typical notes of sweet violet and rose. Its elegance is underlined by fresh balsamic notes and a delicate spiciness. In
the mouth, the acidic- alcoholic component is well-balanced, and the mature tannin caresses the palate, resulting in a lovely texture. An extremely elegant wine on the
whole, with a long and persistent finish.
La Vite Lucente 750ml...

La Vite Lucente 750ml...

LUCENTE 2022
The 2022 vintage began with a mostly sunny, dry winter with cold temperatures. These conditions induced a slightly late sprouting in late March for sangiovese and early
April for merlot. Thereafter, spring was affected by rising temperatures and the absence of rainfall; these conditions favored rapid vegetative development of the plants,
leading to cancellation of the early-season delay. Flowering occurred in the last week of May and the beginning of June under ideal conditions. The hot and dry weather
continued for most of the summer period, fortunately interrupted by some rains between late July and mid-August, totaling 100 mm, which gave relief to the plants causing
them to resume their normal vegetative development and allowed for rapid veraison in the first week of August. The harvest was brought forward a few days to August 28
with the first Merlot grapes and ended with the Sangiovese grapes in the last week of September. Throughout the harvest period the days were sunny with nice temperature
ranges.

TASTING NOTES
Lucente shows a ruby red color. On the nose, it expresses the sunny character of the vintage with notes of pomegranate, blackberries, and violets that combine with
elegant spices. On the palate, the entry is enveloping, balanced by a lovely freshness with perfectly ripe tannins that leave a savory and vibrant finish.

TECHNICAL DATA
ALCOHOL
14.00% Vol.
TOTAL ACIDITY
5.73 g/l
PH
3.41
Brunello di Montalcino 2019...

Brunello di Montalcino 2019...

CastelGiocondo 2019
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
'CastelGiocondo is a unique place in Montalcino, where the diverse exposures and soils - marl, clay and Pliocene sand - create a Brunello with infinite nuances. With
complex notes that evolve over time, there is always something new to discover, savour and remember.'

Climatic trend
The 2019 season was characterised by a cold and fairly dry winter, with bud break in the first week of April as usual. The spring was rainy during the flowering period,
which slowed the fruit set, naturally lowering the productive potential of the plants. The May rains created an important water reserve. The summer was dry, with little rain,
but thanks to the water reserve created in the spring, the vines were not distressed. These conditions allowed for typical veraison and excellent maturation, while the cool
nights were ideal for developing the colour and aromas. In mid-September, the north wind caused a drop in temperatures. This cool and windy yet sunny season was
particularly ideal for the Sangiovese grapes, which were able to complete their maturation with great aromatic and polyphenolic potential. The grapes arrived at harvest time
healthy, intact and with the right concentration, certainly a great vintage for Brunello di Castel Giocondo.

Vinification and ageing
Nearly perfect weather conditions meant that the grapes could be harvested by hand without any great difficulty, and they underwent scrupulous selection on the sorting
benches once they reached the winery. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with frequent pumping over, especially during the early
stages. The wine was then aged in large wooden barrels, where it was able to mature and become more refined until it achieved perfect harmony.

Tasting notes
To the eye, it is a brilliant ruby red. In a particularly good year like 2019, the Brunello di Montalcino di Castelgiocondo reveals extraordinary elegance in a wine that is
particularly complex and intense on the nose. Af first, it has a distinctly fruity bouquet, with clear hints of blackberry, accompanied by various other woodland berries. The
floral notes of violet and wild rose are omnipresent in Brunello di Castelgiocondo. Spicy, straight, fresh, with hints of cocoa beans and undergrowth alongside nutmeg and
the inevitable varied spicy sensations. On the palate, its tannic texture is very dense and supported by a generous body, in a very satisfying balance of flavours. The finish
is very long with a touch of liquorice root to underline the IAP.
