Description<br /><br />Very deep violet/black colour. Highly dense bouquet, chassis, blackberries. Very powerful yet elegant attack, densely concentrated tannins on the palate, powerful<br />backbone and enormously long finish.<br /><br />High ageing potential: 10-15 years.<br /><br />Recommended food: Goes well with strong dishes with red meat, grilled or roasted, but especially with game and with spicy cheeses.<br />Serving temperature: 16° C.<br />Grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon.<br />Sites: The vineyard site is located at an altitude of 430 m above sea level with optimal sun exposure. A rather dry site, with sandy, gravelly moraine soil.<br />Vinification: Maceration for 10 days with gentle circulation of the marc followed by maceration for a further 10-14 days. Racking of the young wine into new/used barriques,<br />malolactic fermentation, several transfers of the wine during the 18 months of ageing. Another part thrives on<br />loamy and calcareous gravel soils.<br /><br />Yield: 35 hl/ha<br /><br />Vinification: Part of the must is cold macerated; fermentation takes place in large wooden barrels for about 3 weeks at a temperature of 25-28° C. Four hectares are planted with Pinot Nero in this unique site: a south-<br />facing high plateau at 400 - 450 m above sea level, sunny and constantly exposed to the wind. Ideal conditions for the tightly berried Pinot grapes. The soil is sandy loam<br />and interspersed with various stones: Dolomite, porphyry, gneiss and granite can be found from small grains to fist-sized stones. I Frati<br />Lugana Doc<br /><br />The wine that has made the company's image known and continues to do so. It has a direct link with its variety, Turbiana, our indigenous vine. Conceived to be consumed<br />during the year, it expresses its best side many years after bottling. In its youth it is fresh, linear and endowed with great finesse and elegance with delicate notes of white<br />flowers and balsamic, hints of apricot and almond. Time allows it to evolve, expressing its mineral notes with greater determination. The wine acquires its own complexity<br />with hints of iodine, spices and candied fruit. In the mouth it is capable of enveloping the whole palate thanks to an important savoury essence accompanied by lively and<br />exuberant acidity.
