Südt. Weiss Amos KURTATSCH...

The AMOS cuvée shows the terroir potential of the high Kurtatsch sites. AMOS is composed of the best hand-picked white grapes from the coolest vineyards between 600
and 900 metres above sea level.

It is precisely this interplay of varieties and sites that makes AMOS so unique in character and style. In order to preserve the mountain freshness, barriques were not used.
The long fine yeast storage in large wood provides additional complexity. The result is a very complex, incomparable cuvée.
AMOS: the mountain wine.

Grape variety: Pinot Blanc - Chardonnay - Pinot Grigio - Kerner - Sauvignon.
Vinification: Separate harvest and fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, followed by blending and fine yeast ageing for 15 months in large oak
barrels.
Alcohol: 14.0 % vol.
Total acidity: 6.3 g/l
Residual sugar: 2,0 g/l
Yield per hectare: 40 hl
Optimal drinking maturity: 2-8 years
Method of cultivation: sustainable
Bottle size: 0,75 l
Südtirol Lagrein Riserva...
Lagrein, genetically related to Syrah, is the oldest autochthonous grape variety in South Tyrol. In the hot, deep vineyards in the south of South Tyrol, the heat-loving
Lagrein finds its suitable habitat.
The FRAUENHÜGEL has a seductive fruitiness of wild berries, elderberries, black cherries and cocoa beans. The wine is enriched with balsamic tannins during ageing in
barrique barrels. The noble roasted aromas and the vital acidity are harmoniously combined with the powerful fruit body. The clayey soil is responsible for its typical terroir
characteristics, which lend the fruity finish a piquant spiciness (liquorice) and its individual earthy note.
FRAUENHÜGEL: the powerful one.

Grape variety: Lagrein
Vinification: Temperature-controlled fermentation in red wine tanks and ageing in French barriques for 12 months. Barrique barrels for 12 months, followed by ageing in
large oak barrels.

Alcohol: 14,0 % Vol.
Total acidity: 5,2 g/l
Residual sugar: 1,6 g/l
Yield per hectare: 50 hl
Optimal drinking maturity: 3-10 years
Magnum Le Volte 2023 IGT...
LE VOLTE DELL'ORNELLAIA 2023
TOSCANA IGT ROSSO
Instantly enjoyable, versatile and playful, Le Volte dell'Ornellaia is all about conviviality. This bright red wine opens
the door to the world of Ornellaia and simply shares the passion for quality that is experienced every day on our
estate and with every sip.
TASTING NOTES
55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot Alc. : 13,5 % vol.
Le Volte dell'Ornellaia 2023 opens with ripe blueberry and blackberry aromas. Generous and enticing flavours ensue and
complement a beautiful balance between breadth and freshness. An enduring finish goes hand in hand with silky tannins
that elevate the wine's elegance.
THE 2023 GROWING SEASON
2023 was a challenging vintage in Bolgheri that, however, benefitted from Nature's benevolence during key
moments of the growing season. Winter was mild with relatively high temperatures and average rainfall that
resulted in early plant growth. Spring brought abundant rainfall that helped fill up water reserves for the summer,
but which also called for meticulous work in the vineyard. A hot summer saw high temperatures, albeit without
reaching any extremes, alongside rains that helped offset water stress in the vineyards. This enabled the grapes to
ripen gradually and regularly, allowing the berries to achieve high concentration.
Rainfall in late August and cool September nights helped aromatic complexity development and preserved the
acidity of the wine, resulting in a proper balance between power and elegance.
V INIFICATION AND AGEING
The different varietals were fermented separately in small steel tanks to maintain their characteristics. The alcoholic
fermentation was followed by malolactic fermentation, again in steel tanks. The wine was then aged for 10 months,
partly in barriques used previously for Ornellaia and partly in concrete tanks, to obtain the perfect balance between
tannic structure and the expression of fresh fruit.
Le Serre Nuove 2022...
LE SERRE NUOVE DELL'ORNELLAIA 2022
BOLGHERI DOC ROSSO
Crafted from the same varieties, under the same sky, with the same philosophy: Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia is a
proud second wine, which has the ability to foretell the personality of the estate's flagship wine. Together, the wines
provide their own distinctive points of view. The pleasure of sipping Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia evolves over
time, adding the charm of maturity to the vigour of youth.
TASTING N OTES
65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc Alc. : 14,5% vol.
Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia 2022 displays signature elegance and freshness, despite the vintage's solar character.
A deep red-purple hue and ripe black fruit, spices and lightly toasted wood aromas shine through in the wine. A
generous and juicy prologue is ensued by rich, firm tannins, while the finish is aromatic, plush and persistent.
The wine already offers a delightful drinking experience and will reach perfect maturity within ten years.
THE 2022 G ROWING SEASON
The 2022 vintage in Bolgheri was distinguished by a typical winter with temperatures nearing the seasonal average,
followed by a start of spring that was equally cool and dry. These conditions caused the vines to bud later than
usual. From May onwards, a lengthy dry spell - lasting for about 75 days - persisted in the area, seriously
challenging plant growth. The vines suffered from notable water stress during the growth, flowering and veraison
periods, which resulted in a low-yield vintage. Fortunately, after these complications, the rainfall caused by summer
storms freed up the energies, reactivating the physiology of the vines that could resume the ripening of the grapes.
The rainfall cleared up during a month of September that proved perfect for the accumulation of sugar, aromas
and tannins, mostly due to the cool night-time temperatures. The harvest took place in superb conditions that
enabled us to choose the perfect date for each vineyard and varietal.
The red grape harvest started with Merlot on 25 August before continuing through September with Cabernet
Sauvignon and ending on 10 October.
VINIFICATION AND AGEING
The grapes were handpicked into 15 kg baskets. The bunches were selected by hand on a double sorting table before
and after de-stemming, then finally soft-pressed. In addition to handpicking, we introduced optical selection in
2016 in order to further increase the quality of berry selection. Each variety and each parcel of land was vinified
separately. The alcoholic fermentation took place partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in concrete vats at
temperatures between 22-28°C for two weeks, followed by maceration for a total of about 10-15 days.
The malolactic fermentation took place in stainless steel after which the wines were racked into barriques (25% new
and 75% used once). The wine remained in barriques in Ornellaia's cellars for about 15 months. After the first 12
months the wine was blended and then returned to the barriques for an additional three months of ageing. The
wine then remained in the bottle for another six months prior to release.
