Grappa Stravecchia...

Grappa Stravecchia...

More than a thousand years ago it was a monastery, and for over three centuries it has been the residence of the Marchesi Guerrieri Gonzaga, who are its passionate
guardians. Today, the San Leonardo estate is a garden of vines and roses, protected by the imposing Trentino mountains that dampen the cold northern winds, while the
valley floor welcomes and offers the warmth of Lake Garda. The estate is an ancient world where patient winemaking practices, still absolutely artisanal, give wines that are
authentic jewels of Italian oenology, distinguished by freshness, harmony and an innate elegance.

THE GRAPPAS OF SAN LEONARDO
Marquis Carlo Guerrieri Gonzaga discovered this marvellous jug in the attics of Villa Gresti, where it had been kept since the time of the great wars. Dating back to 1800, it
was probably used as a water bottle for the night when the family retired here during the summers. From the moment it was found, the idea was immediately to use it as an
emblem of Grappa.
Grappa di San Leonardo is produced in very small quantities from marc from the estate vineyards and distilled in small stills using direct steam. Grappa Stravecchia is aged
for a full 5 years in the barriques previously used to age the famous San Leonardo, giving it depth and great elegance.Distillation | Following a light pressing, the pomace is
immediately processed using a steam still.Tasting Notes | The characteristic amber-gold colour distinguishes this Grappa. Full-bodied, aromatic, as fine as it is elegant; it
is an important distillate with incomparable organoleptic properties. Alcohol content | Grappa Stravecchia 45% vol.
Amarone Valpol DOC Pietro...

Amarone Valpol DOC Pietro...
Pietro Dal Cero
Amarone della Valpolicella Docg

There was a time when the Dal Cero family were Veronese.

Today Igino, Gian Franco and Anna Maria return to the eastern lands of Verona, the birthplace of their father Pietro, to whom this bottle is dedicated, to reaffirm their history
and savour the wind of those places.
They do so with a wine that is emblematic of Veronese wine production in the world, Amarone. Balsamic notes emerge more and more convincingly, with hints of star anise and wild mint.
The tertiary elements are subtle and allow one to perceive pleasant notes of arabica and light tobacco. On the table it finds its maximum expression with mature cheeses,
long cooked meats, braised meats and game.
Technical data

Grape varieties used Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Croatina
Soil composition: calcareous, white flakes and clay
Training system: Simple Guyot
Planting scheme: 2,20 x 0,70
Yield per hectare: 60 quintals
Type of vinification: raisining in boxes for 4 months, maceration in steel with prolonged contact
Malolactic fermentation: carried out
Ageing and development: in barrique for 24 months, followed by 12 months in steel and 24 months in bottle
Alcohol content: 17%.
Total acidity: 7.5 g/L
Volatile acidity: 0.80 g/L
pH: 3.60
Dry extract: 40 g/L
