It is the result of decades of living passion<br />for Lagrein and is probably one of the most authentic and successful interpretations of the autochthonous South Tyrolean grape variety. A wine with structure, finesse and<br />character - for great dishes, especially meat or game.<br /><br /><br />Colour: intense, dark garnet red.<br />Aroma: complex and multi-layered, ripe berry aromas, cherries and barberries as well as spicy notes of tobacco, leather and some liquorice, eucalyptus and forest floor.<br />Taste: convincing structure, finesse, softness and velvety, well-integrated acidity and grippy tannins; a wine with a recognisable origin, inviting, long-lasting finish<br />Alcohol: 13.50 % vol.<br />Acidity: 5.00 g/l<br />Residual sugar: 2,30 g/l<br />

SOUTH TIROL DOC<br />LAGREIN RISERVA<br />VINEYARD KLOSTERANGER<br /><br />Our historic single vineyard: expressive, concentrated and straightforward.<br />IN THE VINEYARD<br />This Lagrein thrives at an altitude of 280 m in the middle of Gries. The historic vineyard is part of the monastery complex, where the vines stand on pure alluvial material<br />from the Talfer and a subsoil of Bolzano quartz porphyry. IN THE CELLAR<br />After fermentation and acid reduction in stainless steel, the wine is aged in new barrique barrels for 22 months, followed by harmonisation in enamelled steel tanks and<br />careful bottling after light filtration.<br />TASTING NOTES<br />The Klosteranger appears in deep garnet red and seduces with a bouquet of concentrated aromas. It is surprisingly lively and fruity on the nose with notes of coffee and<br />black berries as well as a hint of raspberries. On the palate, it convinces with grippy tannins, fresh acidity, delicate as well as elegant fullness and depth. Our single-<br />vineyard Lagrein is wonderfully complex, long-lasting and pampers the palate with a multi-layered structure. Best enjoyed well-tempered with braised game dishes, tenderly<br />roasted beef or spicy cheese dishes. Optimal drinking pleasure within 10 years.Alcohol: 14.00 % vol. R.019 expresses the heart of Lallier signature<br />style, the perfect balance of our four atmospheres: Freshness, Purity, Depth and Intensity.<br /><br />THE ORIGINS<br /><br />Sourced predominantly from the 2019 harvest, which makes up 88% of the blend. Grapes were sourced from over 50 crus within Côte des Blancs, Montagne de<br />Reims,Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Bar regions, early September yielling top quality grapes with a great level of maturity.<br /><br />THE BLEND<br /><br />The harvest of 2019, which makes up 88% of R.019 offers intense fruity notes with a delicate sweetness. The remaining 12% is made up of reserve wines from the<br />harvests of 2018 and 2012, each dominated respectively by intensity and fruitiness.<br /><br />Color: light golden colour with jade reflections.<br />Nose: fresh citrus fruits (lemon and tangerine) supported by notes of white fruits (vine peach, green apple). A touch of brioche and light spice completes the aromatic<br />intensity.<br />Palate: frank intensity in the attack, delicate fruitiness, and silky texture. The finish is long and deep with a beautiful aromatic persistence.<br />

MECZAN PINOT NOIR<br /><br />The Meczan is a very varietal Pinot Noir, which is characterised above all by its softness, its distinctive fragrance and its clear fruity character.<br />It has a vivid ruby red colour with slight garnet reflections. Fresh, animating bouquet with seductive notes of wild berries and cherries.<br />On the palate, the Meczan presents itself very harmonious and distinctly juicy with intense fruit notes.<br /><br />Pinot Noir was first successfully cultivated in Trentino-South Tyrol at the beginning of the 19th century.<br />It soon became apparent that the gentle hills and the special microclimate of the high plateau in Mazon offered the ideal conditions for producing Pinot Noir of international<br />calibre.<br />Meczan<br />Hofstätter Classification<br /><br />Grape variety<br /><br />Pinot Noir<br />Soil<br /><br />Conglomerate of clay, limestone and porphyry soils.<br />Vinification<br /><br />75% of the grapes are destemmed, 25% enter the fermentation tank intact.
