Glenrothes 10 YO 40° 70cl

Glenrothes 10 YO 40° 70cl

Type: Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Production method: Pot Still distillation
Ageing: Continental
Casing: Yes
Why it's different

Glenrothes 10 YO is aged in 100% sherry seasoned casks for at least 10 years and produced in the Speyside region. The new range is named 'Soleo' after the traditional
process of sun-drying the grapes that creates the basis of sherry making. The result is a single malt with hints of vanilla, lemon and butter bread.

How I drink it: best enjoyed neat or on the rocks, it is also perfect for mixing cocktails. We recommend a version of the classic Bobby Burns: 50ml The Glenrothes 10 yo,
20ml white vermouth lustau, 1 barspoon yellow chartreuse. Prepare in a mixing glass filled with ice, serve in a chilled glass with lemon twist.
Whisky ARDBEG Uigedail 70cl...

Whisky ARDBEG Uigedail 70cl...
Ardbeg Uigeadail

Pronounced 'Oog-a-dal', it's a special vatting that marries Ardbeg's traditional deep, smoky notes with luscious, raisiny tones of old ex-Sherry casks. Ardbeg Uigeadail was
voted by the 120,000+ strong Ardbeg Committee as their favourite Ardbeg.

Non chill-filtered at 54.2% ABV.

Color: Deepest Gold.
Aroma: Rich and weighty with heady and smoky aromatics. At full strength, the initial aroma is a beguiling mix of warm Christmas cake, walnut oil and parma violets fused
with fresh ocean spice, cedar and pine needles falling from the Christmas tree. A smouldering coal fire and the scent of well-oiled leather brings warmth. The sweetness of
treacle toffees and chocolate-coated raisins emerge through the smoke. With water, the deep smokiness increases in intensity, reminiscent of a fired Christmas pudding.
Rich flowering currants and warm baked banana and walnut bread are served with simmering mocha espresso.

Taste: Full flavoured and rich with a deep mouth-coating texture, the taste is an intriguing balance between sweet, spicy and deep smoky flavours. The flavour is initially
sweet. A burst of winter spices sets off a smoky-spicy explosion countered by a sumptuous mid-palate of honey glazed smoked food and chewy treacle. Waves of deep
smoky tones and rich aromas build up on the palate like a fine Montecristo cigar.
Finish: Amazingly long and chewy with lingering raisiny, deep mocha tones and rich aromatic smoke into the perfectly integrated finish.
Worthy Park 2007 70 cl /...

Worthy Park 2007 70 cl /...

Type: Pure Single Rum
Raw material: Molasses
Fermentation: Selected yeasts
Production method: Pot Still distillation
Ageing: Tropical
Box: Yes

Why it's different

Worthy Park 2007 is a bottling of the WPL brand, with congeners between 60 and 119 g / hLAP. Distilled in 2007 from molasses from the Worthy Park Estate's sugar cane
mill. It is a Pure Single Rum aged in the distillery's tropical climate warehouse and was bottled at 59% full cask grade, with an angel's share after 10 years of 64%. The label
shows the copper double retort still made by Scottish Forsyths for Worthy Park Distillery. No sugar, caramel or additives are added at bottling.
How to drink it

Drink it straight, letting it breathe, possibly with water to have a slight dilution at will. It can be used in blending as a 'cut' to enrich any type of classic rum-based cocktail.
Focus

Worthy Park 2007 Habitation Velier is the first bottling that bears the name of the Jamaican distillery on the label, different from the previous editions that were called
'Forsyths', inspired by the double retort copper still used for the production of all Worthy Park Estate rums. Worthy Park allocates part of its production to 'bulk' marketing,
rums which are then destined for blended rums or for selections of independent bottlers, provided that the name of the distillery is not put on their labels. The project carried
out in collaboration with Luca Gargano is not a simple independent bottling project. On the contrary, we could consider it 'dependent bottling', since the labels highlight the
fundamental points of production, such as the origin of the molasses, the type of still, the year of distillation and bottling, the percentage of angel's share, the mark,
specifying the level of esters and congeners as well as, of course, the fact that ageing takes place in a tropical climate at the distillery, information that is not usually
declared in independent bottling, since barrels are always purchased through rum merchants and never directly from the distillery. After the first editions, Worthy Park
allowed Luca to use the official name of the distillery, so from the 2007 release the name Worthy Park will always appear on the label.
