ARDBEG 25 YEARS OLD
Bottled from incredibly rare casks filled during some of the Distillery's darkest days, this is the oldest whisky to join our core range.<br /><br />This supreme expression proves unequivocally that age cannot tame Ardbeg's smoky power. But it can yield some of the most complex and majestic flavours ever to burst<br />forth from Ardbeg Distillery.<br /><br />Non-chill filtered.<br /><br />Hot pepper. Lemon sherbet. Cream and fudge.<br /><br />A pungent burst of smoked cream, peppermint and toffee, with Ardbeg's classic fennel and pine resin. Distant earthy bonfires mix with herbal and fruity (banana and tropical)<br />notes, along with fragrant candle wax.<br /><br /><br />An extremely vibrant, hot peppery mouthfeel leads into a burst of sherbet lemon sweetness (candied apples, pears and orange), hints of carbolic soap and tar, more creamy<br />toffee, aniseed and chilli pepper.<br /><br />A long, mellow, lingering aftertaste, with lots of cream, fudge and delicate antiseptic notes.<br />

Non usa coloranti di alcun genere.<br />Esame visivo: dorato brillante. Esame olfattivo: sensazioni iniziali dolci che poi si aprono in note floreali, di miele e di orzo maltato. Esame gustativo: al palato si colgono<br />sensazioni gradevolissime e morbide di erica tagliata, di miele, di frutta matura e di spezie dolci. Sensazioni finali: retrogusto lungo, delicato e sottile, con ricordi di crema<br />di latte, di vaniglia e di cereali tostati. Ideale servito liscio.<br />

Origin: Isle of Islay - Scotland.<br />Production: Contains malts from Ardbeg, Bowmore and Port Ellen distilleries. Not cold filtered. Uses no colouring agents of any kind.<br />Visual examination: Brilliant golden appearance.<br />Olfactory examination: The bouquet opens fresh and clear, with distinct notes of malted barley and peat, and distant hints of wet earth. Gustative examination: On the<br />palate, very pleasant notes of saltiness are picked up, interspersed with 'burnt' sensations of ash and smoky. Final sensations: very prolonged aftertaste, dominated by<br />phenolic sensations.<br />

This special release was launched in 2019 as a Halloween<br />tribute in limited production. Only 5,000 bottles were produced worldwide, the result of selecting a very small proportion of the barrels that age in The Glenrothes'<br />warehouses.<br /><br />How to drink it: it can be enjoyed neat or with a large cube of ice, so the dilution will be very slow and the tampering always regular.<br /><br />Focus: Since the beginning of its existence, the Rothes distillery has been located next to the town's cemetery. Without interruption, day and night, The Glenrothes,<br />continues its daily routine giving birth to new distillates. Ghosts and spirits are part of the DNA of The Glenrothes Distillery. This special limited edition release tells the story<br />of Halloween by returning the legitimacy of the birth of this celebration to Scotland.<br />
