Distillery<br />Dartigalongue<br /><br />Characteristics<br />The continuous still at 58% vol. and the 'Charantais' system, recognised by the 1972 decree as being of superior quality thanks to the elimination of impurities and the<br />consequent obtainment of a more refined and elegant spirit, are used between Gers and Landes. In Hors d'Âge, the minimum ageing period of 7-8 years takes place in new<br />barrels (30%) of 400-litre Gascony oak.<br /><br />Soil: sandy-loamy.<br /><br />Grape varieties: Ugni Blanc, Baco and Folle Blanche.<br /><br />Tasting notes: on the nose, aromas of vanilla, plums, toasted oak and yellow fruit are expressed on the palate with a beautiful length and savoury, spicy notes.<br />

We did not see him for months, when we suddenly discovered that he was in Paris at the Universal Exhibition for the inauguration<br />of the Eiffel Tower. During his stay in the French capital he stayed in the most famous district of Paris, Le Pigalle. There was the Moulin Rouge, an establishment where he<br />spent fantastic evenings. He met Madame Milu, a beautiful dancer... One look was enough to fall in love. It was a beautiful love story. Unknowingly, or perhaps out of<br />curiosity, I read some beautiful letters.<br /><br />Madame Milu Liqueur to Drink on Demand. A highly digestive, innovative and unique liqueur that traces and encapsulates the alchemy of the Italian style of liqueur<br />production from the 19th century to the present day. Its authentic recipe encompasses selected botanicals sourced from the Vecchio Magazzino Doganale, in Calabria. The<br />chamomile, mint and marjoram are still hand-picked and processed in separate infusions from fresh. Lemon balm, fennel seeds and wormwood processed by distillation<br />together with a secret composition of medicinal herbs, above all spaccapietra. The resinous part was initially obtained from the pine cones of Sila. Today, as luck would have<br />it, there are a few pine trees in our soil, which is wonderful. Bordiga Amaro St. Hubertus 70 cl / 38°<br /><br />Why it is different<br /><br />Bordiga's Amaro Riserva St. Hubertus is counted among the best bitters in the Italian tradition. It represents the apotheosis of the distillery's artisan and zealous approach<br />to quality. The starting point is the highest quality herbs and flowers that are selected by expert mountaineers in the alpine landscape of the Cuneo valleys. Bordiga is a very<br />special distillery, specialising in rigour and respect for tradition. Its strong point is the medicinal alpine herbs still harvested by hand and dried at high altitudes by mountain<br />people in an uncontaminated environment. This means that the botanicals used are spontaneous, and therefore intrinsically organic. They are harvested without the aid of<br />engines, without pesticides, fertilisers or fungicides and, above all, with great attention to product quality and respect for the environment. Each production, just like in the<br />past, is totally conditioned by the changing seasons and climate.
