Rum Nation Guatemala XO -...

Rum Nation Guatemala XO -...

For the 20th anniversary of Rum Nation, we have handpicked some of the best and sweetest casks of this precious rum from Guatemala. Made from sugar cane molasses
and distilled in a column still, it is aged for a period of at least 4 years in ex-bourbon white oak barrels in the tropical climate of the Hondo river region. The secret of its
richness is a second maturation for 16 months in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks in our cool Italian location. This enhancse the rums winey and fruity notes and its
natural sweetness of fragrant vanilla and raisins, adding an extra layer of complexity. Sweet and luscious, honeyed and nutty. A limited edition in an elegant decanter to
celebrate 20 years of rum discoveries all around the world.

Appearance: Mahogany
Nose: delicate but rich, honeyed, with all the richness of cane sugar. Ripe dates, vanilla, chocolate, very raisiny.
Palate: a very rich and creamy caress, with no alcohol burn. Sweet, honeyed, with notes of buttery pastries. A whole array of ripe fruits: raisins, dates, dried plums, with
notes of vanilla and cola. A touch of toasted nuts, and a refreshing hint of candied orange too.
Finish: sweeter, and even less aggressive than in the younger expression. Warm, with the winey and raisiny note of the sherry casks becoming particularly evident, but also
with a very noticeable note of sweet liquorice.
Comment: still a light, easy rum like the Gran Reserva, but made more complex, richer, sweeter and even more velvety by the additional maturation for 16 months in
Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks.
Rum Nation Peruano 8 YO

Rum Nation Peruano 8 YO

PERUANO 8YO
V0L.42% 70 CL
In the region of Lambayeque, in the north of Peru, a rum is still produced today in the classic Spanish style, exactly as it was when the distillery was founded in the first half
of the 20th century: mature sugar cane molasses grown in extremely fertile soil and climate, old Scottish column stills, a
ageing system in various types of barrels, and a blending recipe that is lost in the mists of time. A sweet, syrupy rum, with notes of figs and dates, but which retains
freshness and a vibrant, light character due to its young age.
Appearance: Intense amber with orange highlights.
Nose: Almost buttery, very sweet with hints of fresh sugar cane juice. Toffee, milk chocolate.
Palate: Rich and intense, never pungent. The kind of full-bodied intensity that envelops the tongue and caresses it. Sultanas, figs, dates, but the sweetness is accompanied
by a hint of spices: cinnamon, pepper, and pleasant tannins from the oak barrels.
Aftertaste: Becomes more peppery and tannic, but always remains velvety, syrupy and extremely sweet. Cola and sweetened black tea.
Comment: An easy, sweet rum that however does not neglect to satisfy with a robust body and tease the palate with a touch of spice.
A TRIBUTE TO WILD CUBA

Eminente Reserva combines the aesthetics of a traditional Cuban light rum with the complexity and depth of a very aged rum. It is made with 70% aguardiente (the highest
portion among Cuban rums), which gives the distillate incredibly complex aromatic notes.

On the nose, hints of coffee, roasted almonds and cocoa.
On the palate vanilla, sugar cane and plum with a finish of chocolate, almonds and pears.

Eminente is intrinsically linked to the unspoilt nature of Cuba. Williams Spirit 500ml ZU PLUN

Williams Spirit 500ml ZU PLUN
PEAR WILLIAMS DISTILLATE

Pear Williams distillate. No other fruit type is more frequently distilled in our areas than the Williams pear - it is undisputedly the queen among more or less aromatic pip
fruit types. Williams is a favourite, although whoever tasted a glass of a true top quality distillate will find the large majority of common or garden pear brandies flat at best,
even artificial at worst. Top quality is seldom reached in the industry because substantial effort is required: the Williams pear for the Zu Plun distillate come from the
Burgraviato and lower Venosta area near Naturno. When they are picked they need to be much riper than the pears grown for eating. Only then do they release the
concentrated aroma which is captured in this distillate. Freshly picked and brightly coloured, these pears are immediately cored by hand in order to avoid unwanted bitter
tones, then mashed straight away: a labour-intensive process where time is of the essence. One bottle of this distillate contains the aroma of more than 8 kg of fruit pulp.

Raw material: Williams pears from Naturno and Burgraviato, Lana
Distillation method: discontinuous, in a copper still
Storage/ageing: -
Alcohol content: 42% VOL.
Content: 0.5 l
Colour-clearness: clear and colourless
Nose: Fruity aromas of fully ripe Williams pears
Palate: Transparent, pure-toned fruit notes with distinctive depth, mellow and well-structured
Finish: the finish of the most elegant among the pip fruit types stands out with remarkable, persistent length and a distinctive pithy-tart touch.
