MOST, the aqua-vitae made from grape must, is born from the crushing of prized grapes still fresh from the harvest. The berries, with their fragrant and sugary pulp, are<br />transformed into must, distilled according to the 'Tosolini method' with Charante steam stills (double distillation). Matured in former Barolo oak barriques, Most ex Barolo<br />barrique is born. It has an aromatic bouquet, silky on the palate, with intense notes of vanilla, red fruits and spices. The bottle of Most, with its inverted goblet shape, is the<br />trademark of the Tosolini distillery, unmistakable and precious.<br /><br />Variety: blend of noble grapes<br />Alcohol content: 40% vol.<br />Artisanal distillation: discontinuous, with Charante steam stills<br />Maturation: in ex Barolo oak barriques<br />Colour: limpid with intense amber hues<br />Body: intense and elegant<br />Sensory profile: extremely sweet and silky with intense notes of red fruits and spices. Enveloping, aromatic and silky on the palate. Fruity aftertaste with excellent<br />persistence reaching more complex notes on the finish. The smoothness of Most and its rich, full flavour are released at the first sip.<br />Serving suggestion: Serve at room temperature in the classic tulip glass. During the summer period the best temperature is cellar temperature around 16/18°C.<br />

Mllésimé 1990<br />40°vol<br /><br />THE DISTILLERY<br />Founded by Pascal Dartigalongue under the reign of Louis-Philippe in 1838, the Maison Dartigalongue is now the oldest producer of Bas Armagnacs. Based in Nogaro, in<br />the heart of Bas Armagnac, it distils only wines from this area, reputed for the refinement of its crus.<br /><br />CHARACTERISTICS<br />Between Gers and Landes, the continuous still is used at 58% vol. and the 'Charantais' system, recognised by the 1972 decree as being of superior quality thanks to the<br />elimination of impurities and the consequent obtainment of a more refined and elegant spirit.The minimum ageing period of 7-8 years takes place in new (30%) Guasconian<br />oak casks of 400 litres. SOIL: sandy-loamy. GRAPES: Ugni Blanc, Baco and Folle Blanche.<br />TASTING NOTES<br />The intense amber colour anticipates clean hints of coffee and dried flowers. The palate has good texture, body and length with candied fruit aftertaste.<br />
