<br />FROM THE BARREL<br /><br />Nikka From The Barrel is a blended whisky which was released in 1985. The development of this expression started with an aim to deliver full flavors and richness of whisky<br />like 'from the barrel', which only blenders can sniff and taste. The secret behind its gorgeous flavor is the unique combination of complex blending, higher ABV 51.4% and<br />'marriage' process.<br /><br />The iconic square bottle reflects its concept 'a small block of whisky' and embodies the intense and rich flavors of the whisky inside. Long after its launch, this bottle is still<br />timeless and recognized for its ultimate simplicity.<br /><br />51.4% ABV 500ml, 750ml (USA)<br /><br />The complex formula is created by blending more than 100 different batches of malt and grain whiskies. After blending, the whisky is filled into used barrels and matured for<br />another few months. This 'marriage' process harmonizes all components in the formula, resulting in a mellow taste. Bottling is controlled at 51.4% ABV, almost equivalent<br />to 90 British proof, that Nikka blenders determined through repeated experiments to achieve the ideal taste profile.<br />

ABV : 45.9%<br />Volume : 700ml<br /><br />Valkyrie celebrates rich Nordic ancestry here on Orkney, where we were once part of a vast Viking kingdom. In ancient Norse mythology, Valkyries would descend from the<br />heavens to find the best and bravest warriors and give them passage to Valhalla.<br /><br />Valkyrie is the first in a series of three special Viking Legend releases and was awarded the Chairman's Trophy in the 2017 Ultimate Spirits Challenge, scoring 99 out of<br />100.<br /><br />The combination of sherry seasoned European and American oak casks with ex-bourbon casks gives Valkyrie the aroma of crisp green apples being carted through a spice<br />market, while a delicate breeze fills the air with an aroma of faraway campfires. It's a marriage that can only be described as, 'Liquorice Lantern Smoke'. 21 letters have<br />never tasted this good.<br /><br />The packaging for each release in the Viking Legend series was created by Jim Lyngvild, a Danish designer and artist of international renown, whose 36th great grandfather<br />was Ragnvald Eysteinsson, the first Earl of the Orkney Islands.<br />

This includes your closest friendships, your favourite songs, and exceptionally intense single malt whiskies.<br />Full Volume is a robust, beautifully balanced whisky, exclusively matured in Kosher certified ex-bourbon casks, rather than our traditional sherry casks. This allowed us to<br />turn up the volume on those succulent creamy bourbon notes. Distilled in 1999, the resulting 17-year jam session of maturation yielded an ABV of 47.2% and was bottled<br />and released in 2017. The intense flavour profile delivers creamy vanilla and light citrus fruits, all balanced out by Highland Park's characteristic smokiness.<br />

During prolonged aging Alpestre reveals qualities of meditation elixir.<br /><br />When tasted, it reveals complex and heady aromas of herbs and oak wood, evoking fantasies of ancient and mysterious herbal extracts with magical properties.<br /><br />A pure distillate of 34 aromatic, digestive, tonic, refreshing and antiseptic herbs - including thyme, wormwood, lavender, angelica, fennel, brome, sage, mint, lemon balm,<br />isop, cedarine and chamomile.<br /><br />Experienced herbalists cultivate the herbs in the fields close to the distillery until they reach the right maturity. The distillate has been prepared using a secret method since<br />1857, so that all the active ingredients are extracted from the plants completely and unaltered.<br /><br />Alpestre Riserva Speciale 1983 has been aged for 10 years in Slavonian oak casks in our Carmagnola cellars and is finally bottled pure as it comes out of the cask, without<br />sugar, colouring or other additives. Thanks to its relaxing properties, we advise it be drank lying down with water and honey, like a herbal tea in the<br />evening before going to bed.<br /><br /><br />Production method<br /><br />It is the pure distillate of 34 medicinal aromatic, digestive, tonic, refreshing, antiseptic herbs among which there are thyme, absinthe, lavender, angelica, fennel, tansy, sage,<br />mint, balm, hyssop, lemon balm and camomile.<br /><br />Expert herbalists cultivate the herbs in the fields next to the distillery until they are perfectly mature.
