HISTORY: In 2015, The Other Guys decided to change its name to 3 Badges after moving its administrative offices to the old fire station in Sonoma, California. August<br />Sebastiani, a Tuscan-born winemaker and owner of the company, discovered numerous documents that testified to his family's involvement in the building's construction. His<br />grandfather had worked as a volunteer and received 3 badges for his career. 3 badges has thus become a symbol of returning to the roots, celebrating the passion for<br />commitment and craftsmanship as the cardinal points of the company.<br /><br />PRODUCT: Kirk and Sweeney was a wooden schooner known for smuggling rum from the Caribbean to the North East during the early years of Prohibition. It is a molasses<br />rum of Dominican origin aged for 18 years.<br /><br />PROFILE: Complex and intriguing, it touches on a wide range of aromas, from the intensity of vanilla to notes of sherry and grapes, underpinned by the fragrance of roasted<br />sugar cane. Its exceptionally rich colour heralds the aromatic power and softness<br />that are later found during tasting. The barrique has exceptionally developed the spicy scents with very clear notes ranging from pepper to cloves, from nutmeg to brown<br />tobacco, from aniseed to liquorice. These initial sensations are accompanied by and reveal further fruity aromas of jam, cooked apple, prune, almond and walnut. Then<br />another floral hint of honey, all in an extremely frank whole.<br />BOTTLES PRODUCED: from barrel n.1264 n.783 bottles and from barrel n.1216 n.596 bottles.<br />PACKAGING: All bottles, rigorously numbered by hand, are presented in an elegant oak box, which gives the packaging a touch of sobriety.<br />
