It is a William Grant & Sons family whisky, born with the desire to create a modern and revolutionary whisky in the world of mixology.<br /><br />Smokey Monkey Shoulder is the peaty variant of the triple blend.<br /><br />How I drink it:<br />Versatile and designed for mixology, it is also great to drink pure to bring the public closer to the world of whisky, thanks to the smoothness of its vanilla notes.<br /><br />Focus:<br />The name Monkey Shoulder refers to the physical condition that malt men often suffered after years of hard work turning barley mounds by hand during the germination<br />phase. This gave them a deformed limb holding the spade, causing it to hang downwards, like a monkey's posture.<br />

A Green Chartreuse with over 15 years of ageing, in small<br />barrels.<br /><br />How to drink it:<br />To be enjoyed as the great end-of-meal liqueur that it is, in fact served at the end of meals in many Michelin-starred restaurants around the world.<br /><br />Focus:<br />Chartreuse means Voiron to many. For more than 100 years, the French town in Haute-Savoie has been the home of the much-loved liqueur of the Carthusian fathers. The<br />Voiron site was built at the end of the 19th century as a logistical base for production, which was carried out in the historic Fourvoire distillery in Saint Laurent Le Pont,<br />destroyed by a landslide in 1935. From 1903, however, the monks had to flee, due to immediate expulsion from the French state, and took refuge in Spain, in Tarragona,<br />where production continued. After returning to France in 1930, and especially after the landslide that destroyed the old distillery, production was transferred to Voiron, where<br />the legendary underground Chartreuse 'caves' can still be visited today.<br />

A Yellow Chartreuse with over 15 years of aging, in small barrels.<br /><br />How I drink it:<br />To be drunk strictly straight, to enjoy every nuance.<br /><br />Focus:<br />Chartreuse is a liqueur projected into the future, despite its centuries-old history. On 30 August 2018, the new distillery at Aiguenoire in Entre-deux-Guiers was inaugurated<br />after 2 years of intense coatruzione work. The distillery stands on a historic site for the Fathers, in fact the parcel of land where it was built was first used by the monks as<br />early as 1590 for their farming and fishing activities. They then bought it on 30 August 1618, exactly 400 years before the inauguration of Grand Avenir-Auguenoire. It is a<br />return to the heart of the Chartreuse massif that gave rise to the monastic order, just 12 km from the Grande Chartreuse, whose first structures were built from 1084 onwards<br />by order of Saint Bruno.<br />

And it cannot be missed on the most important occasions in the life of a connoisseur who<br />demands products with a fine, intense bouquet, a rounded flavour and a long persistence in the mouth.<br /><br />The healthy, ripe grapes are first destemmed and then placed in stainless steel fermenters. Alcoholic fermentation is carefully monitored to promote the best conditions<br />because the product of this will fundamentally condition the aromatic charge of the distillate. Distillation is carried out in a discontinuous plant with eight copper stills, using<br />direct steam. It is carried out within a short time of the end of alcoholic fermentation to preserve the freshness of the aromatic composition. Maturation in stainless steel<br />tanks for a maximum of three to four months to maintain the fragrance of the aromas. The 'transformation' to the final alcohol content (42°) is done by dilution with water and<br />cold filtration, at a temperature that guarantees the preservation of the predominant fruity component.<br /><br />Colourless, clear and crystalline spirit with a fragrant and delicate bouquet. The grapes are distilled according to the 'Tosolini method' fresh from the harvest to preserve the aromas and scents that reveal a soft, balanced and extremely aromatic<br />brandy. Only the best Pinot Grigio grapes are selected by the Tosolini family exclusively in the Friuli production area. From the fine and persistent scent of dried flowers and<br />aromatic hay, a pleasantagrappa with a harmonious aftertaste is obtained.<br /><br />Variety: from fresh pomace from Pinot Grigio grapes.<br />Alcohol content: 40% vol.<br />Artisanal distillation: in traditional steam boilers.<br />Maturation: 6 months in steel containers<br />Colour: crystal white<br />Body: delicate<br />Sensory profile: fine and persistent scent of wilted flowers and aromatic hay; dry flavour with a persistent and harmonious aftertaste.
