Opus One 2021 California...

Opus One 2021 California...

The winter of 2017 ended a five-year drought with January recording the most rainfall in over 20 years. The abundant rainfall continued into March, causing a modest
delay in budbreak, and pushing bloom back by two weeks. Increased soil moisture allowed for healthy vine growth and development. The summer, in turn, was warm and
punctuated by occasional heat waves. Despite Mother Nature's variability, favorable weather in August provided optimal conditions for fruit development and maturation.
Superb flavors and excellent ripening led to an earlier than expected harvest, which commenced on the 5th of September.

The Opus One 2017 offers a harmonious aromatic balance of rich dark fruit, stems of roses, and earthy forest floor. The juicy entry offers a round, silky mouthfeel with just
enough acidity to complement the satin texture. This seductive wine shows flavors of black cassis, black cherry and a hint of cocoa powder. The fine-grained, plush tannins
evolve into a long, supple finish. A supremely age-worthy wine, it will delight now and for many years to come.

Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon 80%, Petit Verdot 9%, Cabernet Franc 5%, Merlot 5% and Malbec 1%

Skin Contact: 20 days

Barrel Aging: 17 months in new French oak
Vogelleiten und
Panholzer with clay-limestone gravel soil.

Vintage

2023 was a challenging year with climatic conditions that were anything but easy. Through hard work and meticulous attention to detail, we ultimately achieved great results.
Our vines coped well with both the wet spring and the hot and dry summer, and the golden autumn helped us achieve perfect ripeness. Physiolog-ical ripeness, sugar
ripeness and acidity are in perfect balance. Ripe fruit, cool character and moderate alcohol characterise the vintage.
The Golden Muscat grapes were left on the vines until the end of September for perfect maturity. The berries were a golden yellow, the aroma highly intense. At 55 hl per
hectare, the yield was low.

Winemaking

Grapes were de-stemmed and left to macerate in the press for twelve hours to enrich the juice with aroma substances and body leached from the skins. Fermentation took
place in oak and stainless steel tanks, partially with yeasts naturally occurring in the vineyard. Porto Graham L.B.V. 2018...

Porto Graham L.B.V. 2018...
MILLESIME Although 2018 started out very dry, with soils parched from the previous year's rainfall deficit, the spring heralded abundant rainfall, and the months between
March and June recorded above-average rainfall. Soil water reserves were amply replenished, a good position to support the growth and ripening cycles of the vines. The wet
and cool spring and generally unstable weather conditions continued through the summer, leading to a decrease in crop size. Inevitably, the vine's growth cycle was delayed
by a few weeks, but a warm and dry August put ripening back on track. The climatic conditions at the beginning of September favoured uniform and complete ripening of the
berries with good levels of acidity reflected in the balance of the wines. The yields were very low, but this favoured the high quality that the 2018 wines reveal. THE WINE
Produced from grapes from four different vineyards located in the Douro Valley. Abundant spring rains restored soil water levels and ended one of the longest drought periods
recorded in the Douro.
August and September were very hot and dry, and while this reduced the size of the harvest, it also favoured very good ripening conditions, particularly beneficial for Touriga
Franca, a late variety that provided excellent quality and contributed significantly to this LBV. TERROIR Mainly from Quinta dos Malvedos and Quinta do Tua vineyards, with
contributions from Vila Velha and Vale de Malhadas, two additional properties that regularly contribute to Graham's Late Bottled Vintage blend. UVE Touriga Nacional and
Touriga Franca with a small percentage of Sousão, Alicante Bouschet as well as Tinta Amarela and Tinta Barroca. CHARACTERISTICS Alcohol: 20% Baumé: 3.6° pH: 3.55
Contains sulphites Total acidity 4.55 g/L (tartaric acidity) TASTING NOTES The aromatic profile of this LBV 2018 is typically Graham, revealing blackcurrant and blackberry
with secondary notes of dried mint leaves, eucalyptus and a dusting of liquorice. The purity and freshness of the fruit are remarkable and the characteristic floral notes of
cistus (a wild flower that thrives in the Douro) also shine through. The rich, succulent black fruit flavours are bright and fresh, complemented by layers of cocoa, black plum
and hints of white pepper.
Châteauneuf du Pape...

Châteauneuf du Pape...

This cuvée is a tribute to the last Princess Barberini and will delight those who love the Grenache varietal, being made solely with grapes grown in a parcel of Grenache vines
over a hundred years old, situated on the slopes leading up to the La Crau plateau, a legendary area in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. A large proportion of this wine is aged in vats
and the rest in 600-litre barrels called demi-muids. This cuvée is characterised by its great purity and really expresses the vintage and the terroir. In its youth, it offers an
intense nose of cocoa and dark-fleshed fruits but, when kept for longer, notes of leather, tobacco and truffle develop to enrich the bouquet. It can be enjoyed between 1 and
15 years after the harvest.
