Weissburgunder 2021 Vorberg...
Vorberg Riserva

'On the southern slopes of the Tschöggelberg there are very sunny and steep vineyards in the Terlan DOC area, where a very exciting Pinot Blanc thrives at an altitude of
between 450 and 650 metres above sea level. This full-bodied and extremely complex wine impresses in particular with its minerality as well as its considerable capacity for
development, thereby underlining the full potential of this variety.'
Rudi Kofler

Wine:
Region of Origin: South Tyrol - Italy
DOC area: South Tyrol Terlaner
Variety: 100% Pinot Blanc
Vintage: 2021
Yield: 52 hl/ha
Orientation: South - Southwest
Slope: 5 - 70
Altitude: 450 - 650 m

Vinification: hand harvest and grape selection; soft whole cluster pressing and clarification of the must by natural sedimentation from the lees; slow fermentation at
controlled temperature in large oak barrels (70 & 30 hl); partial malolactic fermentation and ageing for 12 months on the fine lees in traditional wooden barrels.

Technical data:
Alcohol content: 14,0 % vol.
Residual sugar: 0,9 g/l
Total acidity: 6,2 g/l
Serving temperature: 12 - 14 °C

Food pairing:
Ideal in combination with a spicy fish soup but also peppered mussels as well as spaghetti allo scoglio; at the same time interesting with gratinated mussels, grilled
octopus or braised char; also goes well with the difficult to combine artichokes alla romana; with an aged pecorino, an aged parmesan with mostarda.

Character:
Colour: brilliant straw yellow with green nuances
Nose: A multi-faceted bouquet characterised by ripe fruit notes such as honeydew melon, white peach, pears and golden delicious apples, as well as aromas of quince jelly,
camomile and pineapple, and a delicate mineral note of flint.
Taste: The interplay of fruity-aromatic and salty taste components is also repeated on the palate. Tignanello 2021 Magnum...

Tignanello 2021 Magnum...

Climate
The 2021 vintage from Chianti Classico will be remembered
for a long slow-paced season: a vintage that promises power and
finesse. Temperatures during the winter months were not
excessively cold and were accompanied by rain showers that
lasted up until the end of March. The beginning of spring
triggered early bud break, but cool, dry weather in April slowed
down the vines' vegetative cycle. May and June followed normal
weather patterns, not too hot, with scattered precipitation that
guaranteed excellent flowering and fruit set of all grape
varieties in Tenuta Tignanello's vineyards. Overall, summer
was hot and dry, especially during August but towards the end
of the month, occasional rainfall provided ideal conditions for
the vines to begin the ripening phase. September and October
were picture perfect: sunny skies, no heat spikes, refreshing
breezes and cool nighttime temperatures that allowed the
grapes to gradually progress to peak ripeness. Overall, the
2021 vintage is considered to be one of the best vintages ever.
Harvesting operations began during the last half of September
for Sangiovese and were completed October 20th with
Cabernet.
