It is the result of decades of living passion<br />for Lagrein and is probably one of the most authentic and successful interpretations of the autochthonous South Tyrolean grape variety. SOUTH TIROL DOC<br />LAGREIN RISERVA<br />VINEYARD KLOSTERANGER<br /><br />Our historic single vineyard: expressive, concentrated and straightforward.<br />IN THE VINEYARD<br />This Lagrein thrives at an altitude of 280 m in the middle of Gries. The historic vineyard is part of the monastery complex, where the vines stand on pure alluvial material<br />from the Talfer and a subsoil of Bolzano quartz porphyry. IN THE CELLAR<br />After fermentation and acid reduction in stainless steel, the wine is aged in new barrique barrels for 22 months, followed by harmonisation in enamelled steel tanks and<br />careful bottling after light filtration.<br />TASTING NOTES<br />The Klosteranger appears in deep garnet red and seduces with a bouquet of concentrated aromas. It is surprisingly lively and fruity on the nose with notes of coffee and<br />black berries as well as a hint of raspberries. On the palate, it convinces with grippy tannins, fresh acidity, delicate as well as elegant fullness and depth. Our single-<br />vineyard Lagrein is wonderfully complex, long-lasting and pampers the palate with a multi-layered structure. Best enjoyed well-tempered with braised game dishes, tenderly<br />roasted beef or spicy cheese dishes. Optimal drinking pleasure within 10 years.Alcohol: 14.00 % vol. MECZAN PINOT NOIR<br /><br />The Meczan is a very varietal Pinot Noir, which is characterised above all by its softness, its distinctive fragrance and its clear fruity character.<br />It has a vivid ruby red colour with slight garnet reflections. Fresh, animating bouquet with seductive notes of wild berries and cherries.<br />On the palate, the Meczan presents itself very harmonious and distinctly juicy with intense fruit notes.<br /><br />Pinot Noir was first successfully cultivated in Trentino-South Tyrol at the beginning of the 19th century.<br />It soon became apparent that the gentle hills and the special microclimate of the high plateau in Mazon offered the ideal conditions for producing Pinot Noir of international<br />calibre.<br />Meczan<br />Hofstätter Classification<br /><br />Grape variety<br /><br />Pinot Noir<br />Soil<br /><br />Conglomerate of clay, limestone and porphyry soils.<br />Vinification<br /><br />75% of the grapes are destemmed, 25% enter the fermentation tank intact. Trento d.o.c. blanc de blancspas dosè<br />It is the unceasing work of numerous sparkling wine producers who strongly believe in the territory and in the quality of a unique wine: producing a Trentodoc sparkling<br />wine is a precious art, a vocation, a skill.<br /><br />The skilful hands of Marchesi Guerrieri Gonzaga have given life to a new expression of their savoir faire with Trentodoc sparkling wine, a tribute to the mountains of<br />Trentino where it originates.<br />Marchesi Guerrieri Gonzaga sparkling wine is a Blanc de Blancs Pas Dosè. It is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes cultivated in the Pressano hills at an altitude of 400<br />metres, on marly-calcareous soils that produce structured wines, and in the upper Cembra valley at an altitude of between 400 and 700 metres on sandy soils of porphyry<br />origin, where more floral wines are produced, with a marked acidity and great freshness. The harvest is carried out exclusively by hand between the last ten days of August<br />and the first days of September. The grapes are immediately processed and fermentation is carried out exclusively in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. The wine<br />remains for at least 8 months on its yeasts, which give it complexity before being bottled. It then remains for a minimum of 36 months in refinement where the magic of the<br />wine comes to life. Finally, after disgorging, it rests a further 6 months in the silence of the cellars. The blend of these grapes from such different vineyards gives rise to an<br />extremely elegant and vertical sparkling wine with a strong identity, a tribute to the wonderful mountains of Trentino.<br />

Pinot Nero Ludwig 2021<br />Alto Adige DOC<br />The long history of the Pinot Nero in Alto Adige has accompanied the development of the wine region.<br />Elena Walch's Pinot Nero 'Ludwig' was created with the 2001 vintage, from grapes of old vines, some of<br />which were even planted as Pergola. The small production of 10,000 bottles indicates the strict selection of<br />the plots to produce a classic, complex Pinot Nero of the highest quality. The many national and<br />international awards for Pinot Nero 'Ludwig', including the highest award of the 12th and 19th Italian Pinot<br />Nero Competition in 2013 and 2020, confirm the winemaker's great commitment to this noble grape variety.<br />The Pinot Noir Ludwig presents itself with a full ruby red color and with elegant concentration and<br />complexity. Fresh fruit notes of heart cherries and redcurrants as well as the spicy hint of pepper and elegant<br />roasted notes characterize the bouquet. On the palate, the wine unfolds its full power and elegance with gripping<br />tannins, a filigree structure and harmonious interplay between subtle spice and elegant freshness - with inviting<br />length and great aging potential<br />VINTAGE 2021<br />We are excited about a qualitatively excellent vintage, especially for our white wines! A dry and<br />cool spring led to a late flowering of the vines and was followed by a warm and dry June. After<br />an irregular midsummer, a surprising change in the weather followed in mid-August, which<br />brought dream weather until the end of September and the very best conditions for achieving<br />an optimal maturity of the grapes. The harvest began in mid-September, about 10 days later<br />than last year. With blue skies and lots of sunshine, midsummer daytime temperatures and<br />autumnally cool nights, the grapes were able to achieve ideal sugar levels while maintaining very<br />good acidity. Accordingly, the 2021 wines show great quality!<br />VINIFICATION<br />Traditional fermentation, partially in large Slovenia<br />oak vats, partially in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic<br />fermentation follows and, the final wine matures in<br />French oak barrels for another 12 months. Since<br />2015, a state-of-the-art fermentation cellar has<br />allowed the grapes to be processed with the utmost<br />care, with whole-grape processing using via gravity<br />fed technology. A highly sensitive destemmer and the<br />gentle transport of the grapes by means of a<br />specialized container, cuvon, which runs on rails, prove to be very gentle on the grapes and<br />preserve their high quality. I Frati<br />Lugana Doc<br /><br />The wine that has made the company's image known and continues to do so. It has a direct link with its variety, Turbiana, our indigenous vine. Conceived to be consumed<br />during the year, it expresses its best side many years after bottling. In its youth it is fresh, linear and endowed with great finesse and elegance with delicate notes of white<br />flowers and balsamic, hints of apricot and almond. Time allows it to evolve, expressing its mineral notes with greater determination. The wine acquires its own complexity<br />with hints of iodine, spices and candied fruit. In the mouth it is capable of enveloping the whole palate thanks to an important savoury essence accompanied by lively and<br />exuberant acidity. <br />South Tyrol DOC<br />Pinot Noir Riserva<br />Sanct Valentin<br /><br />Pinot Noir has been cultivated in South Tyrol since 1850 and is also known in many places as Pinot Noir. It is the winery's most important red wine. This grape variety is a<br />very special challenge for the winemaker, as it is very demanding in terms of soil and climate, and must also be processed with special care in the cellar. For the Pinot Noir<br />Sanct Valentin, which has been part of the prestige line since 1995, only grapes from the best vineyards and oldest vines are used.
