Chardonnay 2018 Flora...
Classification

South Tyrol DOC
Growing region

The grapes chosen for this exceptional wine grow in Girlan on the hills of the Überetsch at an altitude of 450 - 500 m above sea level. The vineyards are planted with 15 to 20
year old vines and are cultivated using the Guyot system. The soil of the cultivation area is rich in minerals formed by sediments from the ice age.
Vinification and ageing

The grapes are harvested by hand and delivered in small containers. After subsequent whole bunch pressing, the must is clarified from the lees by natural sedimentation.
Fermentation takes place in 12 and 15 hl French oak barrels, followed by malolactic fermentation. This is followed by ageing on the fine lees for 12 months and storage in
the bottle for a further 6 months.
Wine portrait

Of elegant structure and beautiful consistency with intense fruity notes.
