IGT Il Blu Brancaia 2018 750ml

Description: Since its debut in 1988, IL BLU has been the result of our constant search for perfection. Made from only the best hand-picked and selected grapes from our<br />two Chianti estates, with fine tannins and a soft, full finish, this wine is distinguished by its complexity and elegance. Today, thanks to the ever-improving complexity of our<br />Merlot grapes, especially from our vineyards in Radda in Chianti, it is a blend of 80% Merlot and 10% each of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. Each individual variety is<br />aged separately in barriques, two-thirds new, for 18 months. Then, once assembled, the final blend matures in unglazed cement vats for 3 months. In this way the wine<br />becomes more balanced, the tannins and aromas are better integrated even before the one-year bottle ageing. We continue to work constantly to improve this wine, while<br />taking great care to preserve its identity. TERRAZAS DE LOS ANDES<br />SELECTION MALBEC<br /><br />Consistent, direct and with good acidity.<br /><br />This Malbec, the emblem of Terrazas de los Andes, comes from over 100 plots in our 6 high-altitude Malbec vineyards. Its rarity lies in the unique combination of grapes<br />from the classic terroir of Las Compuertas, in Luján de Cuyo, with the more recently discovered terroirs in the Valle de Uco: Gualtallary, Los Chacayes, Paraje Altamira and<br />Eugenio Bustos, all between 1,070 and 1,200 metres above sea level. The vines are between 20 and 90 years old.<br /><br />TASTING NOTES<br />A complex and layered expression, revealing aromas of red and black fruits, subtle hints of violets and delicate toasted notes. A full-bodied, well-structured red wine, made only from Montepulciano grapes, it is aged in traditional oak barrels for a year before being released for consumption. It<br />combines the typical morello cherry aromas of Rosso Conero with an important but pleasantly soft structure. There are no certainties about the<br />origins of the name, which could be traced back to the ancient city of Elea (Eleanico), on the Tyrrhenian coast of Campania, or be more simply a mispronunciation of the<br />word Hellenico (for its Greek origin). The original name (Elleanico or Hellenico) became Aglianico during the Aragonese domination in the 15th century, due to the double L<br />pronounced gli in Spanish phonetic usage.Aglianico Contado Riserva Di Majo Norante: the ancient culture of the vine-dressing man combined with modernity and the future.<br /><br />DESCRIPTION: Di Majo Norante produces its wines exclusively from the 123 hectares of the ancient feud of the Marquis Norante di Santa Cristina. In Molise, wine has a<br />tradition that goes back to the Samnites and the Romans, who introduced the cultivation of the vine. The production methods are those handed down from one generation to<br />the next in the southern Apennines, always linked to the values of the peasant world. Di Majo Norante has sacrificed productivity and standardisation of taste in the constant<br />pursuit of quality and typicality, in the conviction that southern vines are better suited to the soil and climatic conditions of the Molise countryside. The predisposition to<br />select clones of indigenous southern vines through the study of their adaptability to the soil is at the origin of all Di Majo Norante wines. Grapes of ancient vines such as<br />Aglianico, Montepulciano, Sangiovese and Tintilia for the production of red wines, Falanghina and Greco for the production of white wines; Moscato reale for the sweet<br />passito. With regard to the cultivation of the grapes, the main aim is to maintain the biodiversity of the vineyards. Biodiversity is defined as the totality of all forms of life<br />present: plants, animals and micro-organisms. For this reason, the rules of organic farming have been followed for many years. All the vineyards are left with natural grassing<br />and spontaneous flowering to ensure the healthiness of the soil, guaranteeing the presence of the necessary micro-organisms and insects that are antagonists to many<br />parasites. Production is kept low to obtain the highest quality of grapes; thanks to the thinning out of the bunches, only the most beautiful, ripe and healthy ones reach the<br />harvest.<br /><br />AGEING: The wine is aged for about three years, one of which in barriques and tonneaux.<br />

Intense rich fruity nose crammed with pure blackberry, cassis, cherry and plum aromas interwoven with notes of spice.<br />The palate full bodied and round, with a smooth velvety texture balanced by firm mouth filling tannins. The juicy black fruit flavours linger into the rich luscious finish.<br />Pairing suggestions<br />The rich black fruit flavours of Bin 27 are a perfect match for chocolate and berry fruit dishes. A chocolate fondant with strawberries makes a deliciously hedonistic<br />combination with Bin 27, the rich creamy chocolate and luscious ripe strawberries blending seductively with the blackcurrant and cherry fruitiness of the wine. Bin 27 is also<br />excellent served after a meal with bitter chocolate with a high cocoa content or a plate of chocolate brownies or truffles. Like all youthful red Ports, Bin 27 is an excellent<br />match for soft ripe cheeses and can be served on its own at the end of the meal or any other relaxed occasion in a generously proportioned wine glass.<br />Description<br />Although for connoisseurs and collectors Fonseca is synonymous with Vintage Port, to thousands of wine drinkers and Port lovers, the wine that springs to mind is Bin 27.<br />This rich and fruity reserve blend is sold all over the world and has a particularly loyal following in North America.<br />Fonseca Bin 27 was launched in Britain nearly 50 years ago, in 1972. At the time the market for Port was undergoing a profound change. Consumers were becoming more<br />knowledgeable and demanding in their choice of wine. No longer content with the simple young Ports that until then had accounted for much of consumption, they sought<br />more sophisticated and distinctive wines both to enjoy at home and when dining out.<br />

IL PINO DI BISERNO<br />2019<br />TOSCANA IGT ROSSO<br /><br />It is the purest and most direct expression of Bibbona's unique terroir. The particular taste of the grape makes Pino di Biserno a classic with an intriguing aroma,<br />distinguished by its excellent balance and timeless elegance. It shares an identity with its alter-ego, the Biserno.<br /><br />INDICATIVE PERCENTAGE: Cabernet Franc 32%, Merlot 40%, Cabernet Sauvignon 18%, Petit Verdot 10%.<br /><br />SOIL TYPE: Partly clayey, partly Bolgheri conglomerate.<br /><br />GROWTH: The planting system is spurred cordon with a density of 6,500 vines/ha.<br /><br />CLIMATE CONDITIONS: A moderate vintage with more consistent rainfall in the spring months which made the temperatures a little cooler than average. Then the hot<br />weather arrived in early June bringing with it flowering, albeit with a slight delay. The summer saw average temperatures with a good difference in temperature between day<br />and night. It is to be considered a good vintage.<br /><br />HARVEST: The harvest began the first week of September 2019 with the picking of Syrah and Merlot and ended with the picking of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and<br />Petit Verdot the last week of September and the first week of October 2019.<br /><br />VINIFICATION: The grapes were carefully selected on the vibrating belt in the winery. Destemming and soft crushing; alcoholic fermentation in truncated conical steel tanks<br />for 3-4 weeks at 28°, malolactic fermentation in barriques for 25% of the mass, the remainder in steel.<br /><br />AGING: The wine matures partly for 12 months in new and second-passage French oak barriques, the remaining 10% of the volume remains in steel. It comes from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes<br />grown on strong soils of ferrous clay, combined by an ancient geological chaos with sand of aeolian nature. A terroir that influences and shapes the variety in a<br />Mediterranean key, making the wine unique and seductive. After harvesting, the grapes ferment with long maceration on the skins, then the wine is placed to mature in<br />barriques for about 18 months. After bottling, it rests in the cellar for a further 12 months. A decisive ruby colour with violet streaks, it is enveloped by ample perfumes of<br />great intensity, defined by notes of morello cherry and blackcurrant, tobacco and spices. The sip, rhythmic and silky, has specific weight and structure that the good acidity<br />maintains in formidable balance. The finish is warm and seductive, with a very long persistence.<br />
