LIS NERIS<br /><br />Lis Neris is the winery's flagship red wine. It stands out for its 'Bordeaux' profile (Merlot 90-95% and Cabernet Sauvignon 5-10%) and for its pure-blooded Friulian character.<br />A warm and rich wine, with refined tannins and a very long finish. Intense aroma of fresh fruit notes such as cherry, raspberry<br />and small forest fruits paired with noble spicy notes and fine roasted aromas. On the<br />powerful and complex on the palate with grippy tannins and an elegant finish.<br />High ageing potential: 10-15 years.<br /><br />Recommended food: White meat, poultry and lamb.<br /><br />Serving temperature: 16° C.<br /><br />Grape variety: Pinot Noir from Guyot plantations between 15-35 years old.<br /><br />Vineyards: Vineyards at approx. 400 m above sea level, the majority of the grapes grow on dry<br />moraine soils of porphyry and dolomite material. Another part thrives on<br />loamy and calcareous gravel soils.<br /><br />Yield: 35 hl/ha<br /><br />Vinification: Part of the must is cold macerated; fermentation takes place in large wooden barrels for about 3 weeks at a temperature of 25-28° C. St. Daniel<br />Pinot Noir Riserva<br /><br />Description: medium deep, garnet red colour, distinct, varietal aroma of cherries, red berries and spices, soft balanced medium body with fine finish.<br />Ageing potential: 6 - 8 years.<br />Recommended food: light hors d'oeuvres, veal or poultry<br />as well as strong fish dishes.<br />Serving temperature: 16° C.<br />Grape variety: Pinot noir. 15-20 year old trellis plant.<br />Sites: Vineyards in Girlan, Eppan and Montan (approx. 350 m above sea level) Soils of volcanic origin with moraine overlay. Cool microclimate with large temperature<br />differences between day and night.<br />Vinification: short cold maceration of the must. Then fermentation at about 25° C for 14 days. Biological acidification and ageing of the wine in large wooden barrels (35 hl)<br />for 2/3 and in barriques for 1/3, each for 12 months. 2018 CHATEAU CROIX MOUTON 'BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR'<br />THE YEAR.<br />The M printed on the label of this fine-tasting and fleshy Bordeaux Supérieur wine marks the personality and particularities of each vintage and changes colour every year.<br />This cuvée from Château Croix Mouton, which dominates the Dordogne, is made exclusively from Merlot, the emblematic grape variety of the right bank of the Garonne, and<br />has a deep ruby red colour with beautiful shiny reflections. On the palate, small, acidic red fruits (mainly red plum, cherry) follow one another. On the palate it is full-bodied<br />and juicy, full of charming finesse. This wine is best appreciated when young, when its fruity bouquet shows all its vivacity.<br />THE CHÂTEAU CROIX MOUTON ESTATE<br />Château Croix Mouton is located in the town of Lugon on the right bank of the Bordeaux River and covers almost 70 hectares of vines. It is owned by the Janoueix family and<br />thrives on the clayey soil of Carney Island. The 2019 grape varieties focus on Merlot (96%), complemented by Cabernet Franc (2.5%), Malbec (1%) and Petit Verdot (0.5%).<br />The vines are on average 38 years old. The planting density is about 3,600 to 6,000 vines per hectare.<br />The work in the vineyard is meticulous and includes tillage, grassing, thinning and some leaf thinning. After sorting at harvest, vinification takes place in concrete and<br />stainless steel tanks with openings and regular puncturing. Fermentation takes place under temperature control (maximum 26-27 °C). The maturation period is between<br />three weeks and one month. Maturation lasts between three and four months on the fine lees in barrels (20%) and in vats with or without wood (80%).<br />The top Bordeaux produced by the estate are pleasant, fruity wines that tend to be drunk at a young age. Gourmet and fleshy wines that are also quite accessible.<br />

PIPA<br />PIPA is the exotic wine in our range. PIPA is a fortified wine - vino liquoroso, inspired by port wine. This first South Tyrolean 'port' is vinified from Lagrein grapes and is a<br />long-lasting and complex dessert wine produced along the lines of a vintage Ruby. The name 'PIPA' comes from the typical oak barrels in which the port wine is stored in<br />Portugal. 'After a trip to the Douro Valley in Portugal, I wanted to try my hand at making a port wine myself: I wanted to capture and preserve the typical cherry notes of the<br />Lagrein during fermentation. After several experiments, I was able to refine and perfect the process.' FranzGojer<br /><br />Site: Auer: Stony alluvial soil of the Etsch river. The warm porphyry is ideal for the grape variety. Guyot cultivation with 5,000 vines per hectare.<br /><br />Vinification: Hand harvest and gentle processing. Cold maceration and fermentation in open oak vats with light toasting. Intensive extraction by continuous immersion of the<br />marc cap in the must. Addition of brandy to the fermenting must to kill the yeasts and stop fermentation. Ageing in PIPA oak barrels for 6 months. Bottling and ageing in<br />bottle.<br /><br />Sensory characteristics: Intense garnet red with violet nuances. Smells wonderfully and intensely of fully ripe cherries and wild berries, Full-bodied and fine in the mouth. The<br />strong tannin and the juicy acidity act as an ideal counterpart to the sweetness and thus form a complex taste picture. The long, fruity finish flatters the palate. Suitable for<br />chocolate desserts of all kinds, the more intense and noble the chocolate, the better the combination.<br />

The varietal aromas of Syrah predominate on the nose: red fruits, violets, liquorice.<br /><br />On the palate, the roundness, breadth and finesse of this wine make it unique in its category.<br />
