LR 2012<br />'The creation of an exclusive wine, capable of delighting discerning customers and strengthening the reputation of Schreckbichl' was Luis Raifer's idea.After several years<br />and several experiments in the choice of varieties, LR was born. Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon and Gewürztraminer, aged on the fine yeast and matured in wood,<br />merge into a cuvée with remarkable structure and elegance. All this combined in a unique packaging. The outer shell: Unique in elegance and sophistication.This year's<br />image in the bottle depicts the 'youthful Bacchus' and is attributed to the Caravaggio school around 1600. Bacchus reaches for the grape, the 'materia prima', without<br />which this unique wine would not exist. The grape and the wine are united in the bottle. In between are other dimensions, from the harvest to the fermentation process to<br />the ripening, and what else can resonate and stimulate beyond the wine.<br /><br />Description: Strong straw-yellow colour, a fruity hint of exotic scents. On the palate, the wine presents itself with great structure and character.Ageing potential: 8-10 years.<br />Serving temperature: 12-14°C.<br />Grape variety: Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon and Gewürztraminer.<br />Vineyards: selected vineyards at an altitude of approx. 400-550 m above sea level.<br />Yield:35 hl/ha<br />Vinification: after a gentle pressing, the wine ferments and matures in oak barrels, followed by one year of bottle ageing. Grape varieties: Chardonnay 96%, Viognier 4%<br />Site and soil: Half of the grapes come from TerlanLiebenAich and half from Kaltern Mazzon. LiebenAich is a warm, west-facing slope at 300 m above sea level. Chardonnay<br />and Sauvignon are grown here on loamy sandy soil interspersed with porphyry weathered rock.Chardonnay and Viognier on Mazzon form our steepest vineyard, the so-<br />called Leiten with up to 100% slope. Exposed to the south-west at an altitude of 350 -400 m above sea level, with calcareous, loamy loess soil, this steep slope offers a very<br />special micro-climate.<br /><br />Vinification: The destemmed grapes remained in the press for four hours to extract the aroma and structure from the skins. The pressing process was very slow and gentle,<br />because finesse is our highest maxim. Fermentation took place in wooden barrels of various sizes, spontaneously with the grape's own yeasts. During the nine months of<br />ageing on the fine lees, the aroma and flavour refined.<br />Bottling: 19,200bottles were filled in June 2020.<br />Data:<br />Residual sugar: 1.1g/l<br />Alcohol: 13,5% Vol.<br />Acidity: malolactic fermentation 6,7g/l<br /><br />Description and drinking suggestions: Bright yellow in the glass. The aroma is fruity of apricots, oranges, acacia and lime blossom on the nose, mineral of wet stone in the<br />depth. Dense and powerful on the palate, yet delicate with a long-lasting minerality. Optimal drinking maturity from autumn 2020 until the end of 2027.<br />Serving temperature: 8 -10°C, for optimal drinking pleasure decant this complex white wine and serve in Burgundy glasses.<br />Goes well with shellfish, poultry and strong fish dishes. It also goes particularly well with aromatic cheese.<br />

Réserve della Contessa - the feminine wine.<br /><br />Its secret is fineness and elegance, one almost wants to say noblesse. A white wine of delicate colour and delicate aromas, as if made to accompany festive hours.<br /><br />Grape varieties: Pinot Blanc 60 %, Chardonnay 30 %, Sauvignon Blanc 10 % (Terlaner).<br />Colour: strong yellow with greenish reflections.<br />Aroma and taste: fresh scent of apples, apricots and a hint of sage. Dense and elegant, with a lot of melting, long lasting.<br />Site and soil: Two thirds of the grapes come from Lieben Aich in Terlan and one third from Campan in Kaltern. In Terlan Lieben Aich we have a warm west-facing slope at<br />300 m above sea level, with water-permeable, sandy loam soil on porphyry weathered rock. Kaltern Campan is a cool, east-facing slope at 500 m above sea level. The soil is<br />a strong loamy limestone soil with rock deposits from ice-age glaciers.<br />Vinification: The destemmed grapes remained in the press for six hours for maceration to extract aroma and structure from the skins. Fermentation took place in wooden<br />barrels, partly spontaneously, with the grape's own yeasts. During the six months of ageing on the fine lees, the aroma and flavour were refined.<br />Serving temperature: 10 - 12 °C.<br />Goes well with: starters, fish and white meat.<br />

Sauvignon<br />The Sauvignon 2015 'The Wine Collection' is now the third Sauvignon edition of this young collection. TWC comprises single-varietal wines in perfection from a highly limited<br />production. <br /><br />The AMOS cuvée shows the terroir potential of the high Kurtatsch sites. AMOS is composed of the best hand-picked white grapes from the coolest vineyards between 600<br />and 900 metres above sea level.<br /><br />It is precisely this interplay of varieties and sites that makes AMOS so unique in character and style. In order to preserve the mountain freshness, barriques were not used.<br />The long fine yeast storage in large wood provides additional complexity. The neutral Burgundy varieties form the compact foundation (70%) Kerner and Sauvignon give the<br />wine its seductive bouquet of white peach, apricot, blossom and citrus fruit. <br />PARATUS Sauvignon<br />This Sauvignon PARATUS embodies the best possible interplay between grape variety, soil conditions and microclimate. Selected grapes from selected vineyards produce<br />this expressive, varietal and complex Sauvignon. The Paratus combines vegetal and fruity-floral tones of elderberry and gooseberry and combines fine acidity with a full-<br />bodied taste.<br />Aroma: Fruity, herbal<br />Flavour: Aromatic<br />Growing area: Municipality of Montan in the Unterland and in the municipality of Ritten at 450 - 650 m above sea level. The cultivation method is wire frame with about 7500<br />canes per ha. The soil ranges from gravel - clay soil to moraine soil with porphyry deposits.<br />Vinification: After a long maceration period of 5-10 hours, the grapes are gently pressed, followed by clarification of the must by natural sedimentation. Fermentation takes<br />place in stainless steel tanks at 17°C for about 12 days. Subsequent storage on the fine lees for a further 7 months.<br />Harvest and yield: Careful hand-picking of fully ripe grapes in mid-October with a yield of approx. 50 hectolitres of wine per hectare.<br />Food pairing: Sauvignon Paratus is an excellent accompaniment to roast fish, green and white asparagus, but also to spicy vegetable risotto and as an accompaniment to<br />special occasions.
