Pomino Benefizio Riserva...

Pomino Benefizio Riserva...

Pomino Bianco Riserva DOC

'On the road to Pomino I am thrilled every time I discover this unique corner of Tuscany: hills and cypresses suddenly give way to steep slopes, cooler temperatures in
summer and snow in winter, magnificent forests of firs and centuries-old sequoias surrounding the vineyards of Chardonnay, planted here since 1855. At an altitude of 700
metres, the Cru Benefizio, the first white wine in Italy fermented and aged in barriques, was born in 1973.'

Climatic trend
The 2021 season will be remembered as a dynamic vintage. After a rainy and mild winter, which had led to a slight advance in budding, temperatures dropped sharply at the
beginning of April, slightly slowing the growth of the buds. From May onwards, temperatures began to rise again, leading to a summer that will be remembered for both the
beautiful day-night temperature range and the long period of intense heat. The grapes presented themselves at harvest in a perfect state of health, thanks to the mild
temperatures and low humidity.

Vinification and ripening
The Benefizio vineyard is located at an altitude of 700 m above sea level, with a southern exposure and predominantly sandy soil. The Chardonnay grapes were harvested in
boxes by hand with extreme care and attention. Once they arrived in the cellar, the pressing they underwent was extremely soft and gentle, allowing a good extraction of
clear must, which was further clarified after cold decantation. The musts thus obtained were placed in barriques, 50% new and 50% first-passage, where they underwent
alcoholic fermentation and only partially malolactic fermentation. Subsequently, the wine matured in wood, on the lees, with bâtonnage carried out as required. After further
bottle ageing, Benefizio Riserva reached its maximum taste-olfactory expression in terms of elegance and harmony.

Tasting notes
Elegance, expressiveness and body. Benefizio 2021 presents a wonderful straw yellow colour with golden highlights. The bouquet is varied, presenting hints of white fruit
such as pear, exotic fruit notes such as mango, banana and pineapple and more citrus notes of candied citron. The citrus sensation is also picked up by hints of orange
blossom. On the palate it is savoury and mineral, with an elegant and harmonious finish; the aromatic intensity perceived on the palate is amplified by the alcohol content
and the aftertaste of dried fruit. Persistent and long finish.
Nobile di Montepulciano...

Nobile di Montepulciano...

Calimaia Estate 2020

Located in a historic area for the production of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and considered one of the most vocated, Calimaia lies on the gentle hills between the Val di
Chiana and Val d'Orcia. The vineyards, arranged around the winery's hillside, enjoy an altitude of 300 metres above sea level and are diversified in terms of exposure and soil
type, thus allowing each vine cultivated to be enhanced.

Climatic trend
The 2020 season began with rather limited rainfall during the winter months, after the water reserves were restored in the last months of 2019. The water reserves generated
during this period made it possible to cope with the higher temperatures of the summer period from June to August. The vines started their budding in the last days of March.
The beginning of flowering occurred in the second fortnight of May with then a regular course favoured by an ideal climate with warm, dry and slightly windy days. The
absence of rain even during the harvesting period meant that perfectly ripe, healthy and structured grapes were brought to the cellar. The phenolic and sugar content were
perfect. Definitely a very favourable vintage.

Technical notes
Variety: 90% Sangiovese, locally known as Prugnolo Gentile, and 10% complementary red grape varieties
Alcoholic grade: 14.5%.
Maturation: 24 months in oak casks

Vinification and maturation
Once harvested by hand, the grapes were vinified in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (max. 26°C) and fermentation took place spontaneously. Maceration on
the skins allowed perfect extraction of the polyphenolic substances, aided by frequent pumping over in the initial stages of fermentation, interrupted by a 'delestage' in the
intermediate phase, and then resumed in the final phase. Malolactic fermentation was completed in steel before the winter. Maturation in 50 hL oak casks continued as
usual for 24 months. Prior to release, Calimaia was bottle-aged in our cellar for the next 4 months.

Tasting notes
Tenuta Calimaia Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2020 shows an intense ruby red colour to the eye. The nose offers clear notes of red fruits: cherry and sour cherry in the
beginning, followed by intense notes of aromatic herbs and spices, including sage, cardamom and pink pepper. On the olfactory finish, dark chocolate is joined by hints of
liquorice. In the mouth, it starts with its generous body, voluminous and fresh at the same time. The tannic texture is dense and free of harshness. The taste-olfactory
correspondence is remarkable and the intense aromatic persistence very long.
Chianti Rufina DOCG...

Chianti Rufina DOCG...

From this plot, which has always been known to everyone as Montesodi because of the stony nature of the soil, the first Cru of Castello Nipozzano was born in 1974. It
represents the wine of my youth and my best memories at Castello Nipozzano, a Sangiovese of extreme elegance and vivacity, capable of moving me even after decades.

Climatic trend
At Castello Nipozzano, the winter was characterised by long periods of sunshine with low temperatures. Spring, on the other hand, was cool, and the rains that fell ensured
good water reserves for the hot summer days. The summer period was characterised by temperature fluctuations that helped to provide refreshment during the night, with the
usual breezes from the slopes of the Apennines contributing in particular. The grapes were therefore accompanied to ripening by a combination of the warmth of the sun and
refreshing breezes; the bunches arrived at the harvest in perfect condition and the production was expressed in wines typical of the area, marked by a good acidic vein and
silky tannins.

Vinification and maturation
The Montesodi vineyard is located at an altitude of 400 metres above sea level, on schist soils with a magnificent south-west exposure. The Sangiovese grapes from the
Montesodi vineyard, after careful work in the vineyard, were harvested by hand into 15 kg crates. Further care and selection was taken in the cellar; on arrival, the grapes
were carefully checked on a sorting table. Berry by berry, only the highest quality was chosen in terms of polyphenolic substances and grape health. The 2019 harvest
produced finely concentrated, beautifully ripe grapes with a wonderful burst of freshness. Fermentations and macerations were regular. Malolactic fermentation took place
immediately after racking. At the end of the year, the traditional maturation of Montesodi began in 30 hl barrels of Austrian and French oak, where it remained for the next 18
months until bottling. The subsequent months of bottle ageing allowed Montesodi to express itself to its fullest elegance and potential.

Tasting notes
Montesodi 2019 presents a wonderful brilliant ruby red colour. The olfactory impact is exciting, characterised by fruity notes reminiscent of redcurrants and wild strawberries.
This is followed by floral notes, fresh balsamic hints and an elegant spiciness reminiscent of liquorice and cloves. The sip is dynamic, the minerality and freshness are
accompanied by a dense and slightly rough tannic texture, typical for Sangiovese. A wine that impresses for its complexity and extreme elegance at the same time. Long in
the finish.
Alie rosè Ammiraglia 2022...

Alie rosè Ammiraglia 2022...

Alìe, a figure from Greek mythology, one of the sea nymphs, symbol of sensuality and beauty. Alìe, an elegant Rosé with a clear, pure colour and soft ruby reflections. A
refined balance between Syrah and Vermentino, which find their maximum expression in their proximity to the sea. Aromas of white flowers, wild strawberries and citrus peel
blend in a delicate structure with hints of minerality typical of the terroir, giving a long, rich finish. Enchanting from aperitifs to meals and in good company.

Climatic trend
Winter 2021/2022 was characterised by good rainfall, as was spring 2022. This situation resulted in a proper water supply of the subsoil. Sprouting took place a few days
later than normal, but rising temperatures led to regular vegetative development. Summer days with above-average temperatures led to splendid ripening of the Syrah and
Vermentino grapes. As a result, the aromatic development was magnificent. The sun and the refreshing sea breezes were the perfect companions during the harvest period;
both allowed the vines to achieve a compositional balance that is an expression of this microclimate. The most genuinely Mediterranean expression of Tuscany.

Technical notes
Varieties: Syrah, Vermentino
Alcoholic degree: 12%.
Maturation: 3 months in steel tanks

Vinification and maturation
The secret of Alìe lies in the combination of territorial characteristics, vineyard management and, of course, the human factor. The grapes, once harvested, were transported
to the cellar in a short time in order not to spoil or damage the bunches. One of the highlights of the Alìe production was the pressing phase. The bunches, whole and in the
absence of oxygen, were loaded into the press. The pressures applied during this phase were extremely soft and gentle; this process, together with the careful selection of
the musts and their subsequent decanting for no less than 12 hours, allowed the distinctive characteristics of this seductive rosé to be enhanced. Fermentation took place in
stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of less than 19° C. After maturing for a few months on fine lees, subsequently including a period of bottle ageing, Alìe 2022
was as persuasive and fascinating as its custom.

Tasting notes
Alìe 2022 has a splendid soft pink colour. On the nose, its fruitiness is particularly varied: citrus notes of cedar and bergamot, ripe peach and white fruits. This is followed by
the floral soul of Alìe dominated by iris, orange blossom and peony. The long bouquet continues with clear hints of iodine and aromatic herbs such as thyme, rosemary and
sage. The taste-olfactory response is remarkable and precise, characterised by freshness and savouriness. Alìe is a rich, silky, smooth and satisfying wine.
LIGHT 2020

The winter was predominantly dry and mild, leading to an early but uniform budding of the vines from the second week of March for the Sangiovese and from the third week
for the Merlot. Spring was sunny, accompanied by some rainfall in May and June, which favoured an excellent flowering, which took place slightly early in the last week of
May. The summer was hot and dry with good temperature ranges between day and night. In the last week of August, two very precious rains brought relief to the plants and
lowered the temperatures, allowing the vines to complete the ripening of the grapes. The harvest began on three September in ideal conditions, with sunny days without heat
peaks. These conditions resulted in grapes of excellent quality, with excellent phenolic ripeness and great aromatic balance. Brilliant ruby red in colour. The nose is rich in
black fruits such as blueberries and blackberries, accompanied by a light balsamic and pan brioché note. Luce 750ml Tenuta Luce 2020

Luce 750ml Tenuta Luce 2020

LUCE 2020

The months of January and February were particularly mild and dry. This condition led to an early budding of the vines from the second week of March for the Sangiovese
and from the third week for the Merlot. Spring then saw warm weather with rainfall mainly in May, favouring an excellent flowering that took place slightly early around the
last week of the month, followed by a rapid fruit set. The first three weeks of June were marked by rainfall, which helped prepare the plants for the summer season, which
was hot and with little rain. In the last week of August, two very important rains brought relief to the plants and lowered the temperatures, creating the ideal conditions for the
grapes to ripen. Harvesting began on 3 September with the Merlot. The grapes were in excellent health and ripeness, with great aromatic potential, due in part to the
temperature swings between night and day that occurred in the days leading up to the harvest. While the Sangiovese harvest began on 16 September and continued until
the end of the month.

TASTING NOTES Intense ruby red in colour, Luce 2020 stands out on the nose for its complexity and elegance, characterised by ripe black fruit, particularly blackberry and
mulberry, to which hints of cocoa and sweet spices are added. On the palate, it is harmonious, lively, with excellent structure, balanced by vibrant acidity and soft, silky
tannins that lend an elegant finish with great persistence.

ANALYTICAL DATA
ALCOHOL
Vol. 14.50%
TOTAL ACIDITY
6.07 gr/L
pH
3.45

SUGAR AT HARVEST
Merlot: 255 g/L, Sangiovese: 243 g/L
TOTAL ACIDITY AT HARVEST
Merlot: 6.20 g/l, Sangiovese: 7.10 g/l
PH AT HARVEST
Merlot: 3.45, Sangiovese: 3.35
Brunello di Montalcino 2018...

Brunello di Montalcino 2018...

CastelGiocondo 2018
Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
'CastelGiocondo is a unique place in Montalcino, where the great variety of exposures and soils - marl, clays and Pliocene sands - give this Brunello infinite nuances. A
multifacetedness of notes that evolve over time and make one continually want to discover, savour and remember.'

Climatic trend
The 2018 season was characterised by a cool and rainy winter, with budding within the norm. The spring, which was rainy during the flowering period, slowed down fruit set,
naturally lowering the plants' production load. The summer was dry, with little rain, but thanks to the water reserve created in the spring, there were no problems. This
situation allowed the grapes to ripen regularly and ripen well, with cool nights ideal for the development of aromas and colour. The tramontana wind in mid-September led to
a drop in temperatures. The cool, breezy but sunny season was particularly favourable for Sangiovese, which was able to complete its ripening, accumulating great aromatic
and polyphenolic potential. The grapes arrived at harvest time healthy, intact and with the right concentration.

Vinification and ripening
Such regular weather conditions made it possible to harvest the grapes by hand without any particular difficulty, and once they arrived at the winery, they were subjected to
scrupulous selection on sorting benches. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with frequent pumping over especially during the early
stages. The wine then underwent maturation in wood in large casks, where it was allowed to mature and 'elevate' until it reached its defining balance and harmony.
CastelGiocondo Brunello is ready for release 5 years after the harvest and only after further bottle ageing.

Tasting notes
CastelGiocondo 2018 has an intense and brilliant ruby red colour. Castelgiocondo always stands out for its elegance, a characteristic that is, if possible, even more marked
in this vintage. The fruity notes, the first to strike our olfactory receptors, are dominated by blueberry and blackberry, flanked by blackcurrant and other berries. This is
followed by floral memories of violets and dog roses, always present in the bouquet of the best Brunellos of Montalcino. Clear spicy hints of black pepper and cardamom
make their way into the olfactory sequence, followed by a pleasant liquorice aroma. On the palate, the tannic texture is dense, but without any particular roughness, finely
flanked by mineral notes. The taste-olfactory coherence and the long, persistent finish make it particularly well-balanced.
