Description: Intense straw yellow colour, fresh fine aroma reminiscent of yellow roses and nutmeg, some cloves and cinnamon, strong body, spicy, with lively acidity.<br />Ageing potential: 6-8 years.<br />Recommended food: As an aperitif, ideal companion to grilled fish, shellfish, Asian dishes and blue cheese.<br />Serving temperature: 10-12° C.<br />Grape variety: Gewürztraminer, trellis training with high plant density, approx. 5,500 vines/ha.<br />Sites: Selected sites at 450-550 m above sea level. Gravelly, sandy, partly loamy, medium-heavy soils with limestone deposits.<br />Vinification: Short cold maceration of the destemmed grapes, gentle pressing, fermentation at 18° C in stainless steel tanks. I Frati<br />Lugana Doc<br /><br />The wine that has made the company's image known and continues to do so. It has a direct link with its variety, Turbiana, our indigenous vine. Conceived to be consumed<br />during the year, it expresses its best side many years after bottling. In its youth it is fresh, linear and endowed with great finesse and elegance with delicate notes of white<br />flowers and balsamic, hints of apricot and almond. Time allows it to evolve, expressing its mineral notes with greater determination. The wine acquires its own complexity<br />with hints of iodine, spices and candied fruit. In the mouth it is capable of enveloping the whole palate thanks to an important savoury essence accompanied by lively and<br />exuberant acidity. Ronchedone<br />Red wine<br /><br />In the area where the first moraine hills rise, red wines of considerable depth and power are also obtained, and Ronchedone is an absolute demonstration of this. Strongly<br />desired from the moment it was felt that certain areas and certain microclimates were suitable for making a wine like this. Marzemino, Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet make<br />it a wine that cannot go unnoticed. The nose is very rich with notes of red fruits, macerated blueberries, marasca cherries under spirits, balsamic and jammy hints. The<br />palate is powerful and incisive, clean, savoury, with a fine acidity that is a sign of the Benaco soil. Grape: Nebbiolo<br />First vintage: 1978<br />Aspect and height above sea level: south-facing, 300-350 metres<br />Soil type: moderately loose-packed, slightly clayey, limestone-based<br />Vine training system and planting density:<br />Guyot-trained at 4,500 vines per hectare.<br />Average age of productive vines: 40 years<br />Harvest period and method: second 10 days of October, manual harvest.<br />The vinification procedure for Barolo Ginestra Casa Matè<br />involvesalcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel<br />tanks,with daily pumping over. After completing malolactic<br />fermentation,the wine matures in 25-hectolitre barrels of Slavonian oak.<br />Bottling normally takes place in August. The Barolo Ginestra Casa<br />Matèthen stays in the binning cellar for 8-10 months before release.<br />

The bouquet is reminiscent of<br />nettle, apples, green peppers and tropical fruits.<br />With a harmonious balance of acidity and minerality, notes of elderberry, banana and vanilla enrich the lively character of this wine.<br />Thanks to its excellent quality, this wine has been included in the Bernardi collection. This is a selection of choice grapes from optimal vineyards.<br />
