TYPE: Mendoza - ' Malbec Premium '.<br /><br />PRODUCTION AREA: Valle de Uco and Lujan de Cuyo - Mendoza<br /><br />VINE: 100% Malbec<br /><br />SOIL TYPE: Soil of alluvial origin, rich in detritus and clay.<br /><br />VINIFICATION: The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected. Pre-fermentation takes place at 10°. Continuous pumping over is carried out to extract soft tannins.<br />Malolactic fermentation then begins. Finally the liquids macerate for 15 days to obtain volume, stabilise the wine and improve the tannins.<br /><br />COLOUR: intense ruby red<br /><br />BOUQUET: On the nose, intense aroma of ripe red fruit with spicy notes.<br /><br />SERVING SUGGESTIONS: It can easily accompany menus of meat dishes. Fantastic if paired with mixed grilled meat.<br /><br />TASTE: Round on the palate, with delicate tannins and good concentration in the mouth. Refined persistence.<br /><br />AGEING: it is aged for one year in fine wood barrels, 80% French oak and 20% American oak.<br />

Its rarity lies in the unique combination of grapes<br />from the classic terroir of Las Compuertas, in Luján de Cuyo, with the more recently discovered terroirs in the Valle de Uco: Gualtallary, Los Chacayes, Paraje Altamira and<br />Eugenio Bustos, all between 1,070 and 1,200 metres above sea level. The vines are between 20 and 90 years old.<br /><br />TASTING NOTES<br />A complex and layered expression, revealing aromas of red and black fruits, subtle hints of violets and delicate toasted notes. The winter season passed with mild temperatures and low rainfall. These<br />conditions led to an early spring. From the second week of April, the weather changed dramatically and until mid-May, rain was the protagonist with temperatures below<br />average. These weather conditions compromised the flowering and were the cause of spinning of the wings of the bunches and floral dripping, resulting in smaller, more<br />sparse bunches with very low average weights. After 15 May we saw a clear improvement in the weather conditions which allowed us to set fruit in favourable conditions.<br />Above-average temperatures characterised the month of June, which can be described as the driest in the last 20 years. The dry weather continued until mid-July with the<br />vines beginning to show symptoms of water stress. The beginning of August brought us the much-desired rain, effectively saving the season.<br />From 20 August, with the start of the harvest, temperatures returned to normal and the fine weather accompanied us until the end of the season.<br />and good weather accompanied us until the end of August. The harvest began on 20 August and ended on 5 September in good weather. Average yield per hectare was<br />4,800 kilograms of grapes, equivalent to 3,020 litres of wine (wine yield: 63%). The small size of the bunches and the low yields in the vineyard have legitimised the high<br />quality of this vintage, which is expressed in the Cuvée Prestige Edition 44 by an intense aroma of citrus, white and yellow fruits and by a full-bodied, extremely lively taste.<br /><br />VINIFICATION<br />The base wines of the Cuvée Prestige are the result of a careful selection of grapes and a skilful vinification process conducted in full respect of the Ca' del Bosco Method.<br />The grapes, harvested by hand in small crates, are classified and cooled. Each bunch is selected by expert eyes and hands, and then benefits from the exclusive 'berry<br />spa': a special system of washing and hydromassage of the bunches consisting of three soaking tubs and a drying tunnel. After pressing in the absence of oxygen, all the<br />musts of the base wines ferment in temperature-controlled steel tanks and remain there until the following March. Seven months of refinement are then necessary for the<br />wine to clarify, mature and bring out the best of the character of the original vineyards. The wines are then skilfully blended in the 'magic ritual' of creating the cuvée. It is<br />only after a minimum of two years of ageing on the lees that this Franciacorta can express all its richness and identity. The dégorgement takes place in the absence of<br />oxygen, using a unique system designed and patented by Ca' del Bosco. This avoids oxidative shocks and further additions of sulphites. It makes our Franciacorta wines<br />purer, more pleasant and longer-lived. Intense rich fruity nose crammed with pure blackberry, cassis, cherry and plum aromas interwoven with notes of spice.<br />The palate full bodied and round, with a smooth velvety texture balanced by firm mouth filling tannins. The juicy black fruit flavours linger into the rich luscious finish.<br />Pairing suggestions<br />The rich black fruit flavours of Bin 27 are a perfect match for chocolate and berry fruit dishes. A chocolate fondant with strawberries makes a deliciously hedonistic<br />combination with Bin 27, the rich creamy chocolate and luscious ripe strawberries blending seductively with the blackcurrant and cherry fruitiness of the wine. Bin 27 is also<br />excellent served after a meal with bitter chocolate with a high cocoa content or a plate of chocolate brownies or truffles. Like all youthful red Ports, Bin 27 is an excellent<br />match for soft ripe cheeses and can be served on its own at the end of the meal or any other relaxed occasion in a generously proportioned wine glass.<br />Description<br />Although for connoisseurs and collectors Fonseca is synonymous with Vintage Port, to thousands of wine drinkers and Port lovers, the wine that springs to mind is Bin 27.<br />This rich and fruity reserve blend is sold all over the world and has a particularly loyal following in North America.<br />Fonseca Bin 27 was launched in Britain nearly 50 years ago, in 1972. At the time the market for Port was undergoing a profound change. Consumers were becoming more<br />knowledgeable and demanding in their choice of wine. No longer content with the simple young Ports that until then had accounted for much of consumption, they sought<br />more sophisticated and distinctive wines both to enjoy at home and when dining out.<br />

La Rose de Manincor - absolute elegance<br /><br />...for certain hours: Spring and summer are the seasons for this fruity wine of richness and juiciness, whose colour alone fires the imagination.<br /><br />Grape varieties: Lagrein, Merlot, Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot, Tempranillo, Syrah.<br />Colour: bright salmon red.<br />Aroma and taste: delicate scent of raspberries and cherries on the nose, juicy and creamy on the palate, long-lasting with fine tannin and mineral-fruity finish.<br />Site and soil: our best red wine sites in Manincor and at Seehof, south-eastern slopes at 250 m above sea level with strong clay soils, interspersed with limestone gravel<br />and other glacial rock deposits.<br />Vinification: La Rose de Manincor is the juice extract from the best red wine batches each year. Thus, the varietal composition and character change slightly each year. The<br />juice was extracted after a 24-hour maceration period and the must fermented in wooden barrels, partly spontaneously with the grape's own yeasts. During the five-month<br />wooden barrel maturation on the fine lees, the aroma and taste refined.<br />Serving temperature: 10 -12 °C.<br />Goes well with: spicy starters, fried and smoked fish, white and grilled meat.<br />
