PICOL Sauvignon DOC LIS...

PICOL Sauvignon DOC LIS...

Sauvignon Blanc is an international grape variety grown in many areas of the world. The two schools (zones) of reference are French; the Loire Valley, which produces
particularly aromatic, savoury and mineral Sauvignons, and the Bordeaux zone, which often blends this variety with Semillon, giving it structure and body. In both cases,
elegance and finesse are characteristic of only the best wines.
The right bank of the Isonzo, with its warm and stony soils, decisive for a superior structure, and a climate favoured in the temperature change by the ventilation of Balkan
origin and by Mediterranean influences due to its proximity to the sea, is a site of great potential for following what can be called 'the Friulian way to Sauvignon Blanc'.

Grape variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Denomination: DOC Friuli Isonzo
Vineyard: Cultivated with organic fertilisation and integrated phytosanitary defence (EU regulations) with abolition of chemical weeding.
Vinification: Fermentation in steel tanks (20-22 °C), combined maturation in stainless steel/wood on fine deposit for 11 months with frequent bâtonnage. Bottling and aging in
bottle for a minimum of 12 months.
Harvest: By hand with careful selection of grapes.
Alcohol content: 13,5 % Vol.
Serving temperature: 11° C
A very respectable vintage for this variety. The 'Friulian way to Sauvignon Blanc' is exalted for its aromatic and structural combination. A wine for collectors, perfect with rich
fish dishes and fresh cheeses.
Pinot Grigio GRIS LIS NERIS...

Pinot Grigio GRIS LIS NERIS...

Gris is a pure Pinot Grigio from a single vineyard where all the vines have reached productive maturity.
After the start of fermentation in steel, this continues and is completed in 500-litre French oak casks, followed by 11 months of maturation on fine deposit in the same
fermentation containers. During this period, the aromatic range increases without changing the original characteristics of the vine.
Grape variety: Pinot Grigio
Denomination: DOC Friuli Isonzo
Vineyard: Cultivated with organic fertilisation and ingested phytosanitary defence (EU regulations) with abolition of chemical weeding.
Harvest: By hand with careful selection of the bunches.
Vinification: Fermentation in 500 lg French oak barrels (22-24° C), maturation in the same containers as the fermentation on fine deposit for 11 months with frequent
bâtonage. JUROSA Chardonnay 2016 DOC...

JUROSA Chardonnay 2016 DOC...

It is strange how a grape variety that is so popular throughout the world was confused in Friuli with Pinot Bianco until the late 1970s.
Although the entire eastern part of this region has great potential, the variety has not yet entered the hearts of producers, but there are examples that show how this variety
can compete with the great Chardonnays of the world.
Jurosa is one of them, and its northern, sunny character marks its evolutionary path, capable of improvement and progress over time.

Grape variety: Chardonnay
Denomination: DOC Friuli Isonzo
Vineyard: Cultivated with organic fertilisation and integrated pest management (EU regulations) with no chemical weeding.
Harvest: By hand with careful selection of the bunches.
Vinification: Fermentation in 500-litre French oak barrels (22-24 °C), maturation in the same containers for 11 months with frequent bâtonnage, bottling and ageing in bottles
for a minimum of 12 months.
Alcohol content: 13 %.
Serving temperature: 11° C

After a spring that was not ideal for this variety, the vines reacted well during the summer, giving us a fascinating and well-balanced wine with a northern, sunny character,
capable of improving and progressing over time. On the nose, it has notes of apricot, hay, butter and custard; on the palate, it is full and mineral with an acidic streak well
balanced by softness. It goes well with all fish dishes, from hot starters and first courses to steamed or stewed main courses, and can also be enjoyed with cheeses and
white meats.
