First born among the wines that make up the MOMA line dedicated to the world of art, the label bears the work Golden Glass by Milanese artist Beatrice Pani, first prize-<br />winner at the third edition of the Umberto Cesari Art Contest.<br /><br />Blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grown on medium-textured clay soils. The vineyards have an average age of 15 years and a yield of 80 quintals of<br />grapes per hectare. Fermented in vertical steel vats at controlled temperature for 12-14 days. Matured for 6 months in 30 HL Slavonian oak casks and a further 3 months in<br />bottle.<br /><br />Colour: light red with violet reflections.<br />Bouquet: intense plum, violet and red fruits.<br />Taste: pleasantly velvety on the palate, with the fruity hints typical of Sangiovese, the softness of Merlot and the 'balsamicity' of Cabernet Sauvignon. In the hot, deep vineyards in the south of South Tyrol, the<br />heat-loving Lagrein finds its suitable habitat. The FRAUENRIGL has a seductive fruitiness of wild berries, elderberries, black cherries and cocoa beans. The wine is enriched<br />with balsamic tannins during ageing in barrique barrels. The noble roasted aromas and the vital acidity are harmoniously combined with the powerful fruit body. The clayey<br />soil is responsible for its typical terroir characteristics, which lend the fruity finish a piquant spiciness (liquorice) and its individual earthy note.<br /><br />FRAUENRIGL: the mighty one. In South Tyrol, 'Rigl' used to mean something like small plot of land. TECUM<br />PINOT BIANCO RISERVA<br />'Tecum' (Latin: with you/together) is the expression of unison, elegance, and harmony. This cool and mineral Weiburgunder grows in the selected single vineyard Buchholz,<br />above Salurn. The site is located on the cooler, eastern valley side of the South Tyrolean lowlands, at an altitude of 600 m and with a mineral soil of dolomite rock. Out of full<br />respect for the terroir and the natural cycle of the vine, the wine matures for 12 months on fine lees in large wooden barrels and in stainless steel tanks, to then develop for a<br />further 12 months in the bottle. In the process, it retains its structure and complex variety of aromas. The wine is bottled exclusively in large bottles to promote its shelf life.<br />The initials 'N.D.T', which can be found on the label, stand for the philosophy of the wine: 'niente di troppo', which translates into German as 'from nothing too much'. After a splendid spring, dry and culminating in a torrid June, a cool and rainy summer followed;<br />September was hot, sunny and very dry. The 'key to the grape harvest' lies in the soils and the work of the winegrowers: chalk is a winner because it is more draining, and in<br />the hills it allowed excess summer water to be disposed of and the vigour to be contained. Complex Chardonnays from high altitudes are a rarity, but that is precisely where the appeal lies for us. Troy means 'path' in the language of our ancestors. The name<br />illustrates our long journey of research and experimentation with this noble grape variety.<br /><br />The winter ended with abundant snow in the mountains. Warmer temperatures in March and April caused premature and rather uneven budding in the well-supplied soils. A<br />cool May then delayed the flowering. In humid and hot June, a high fungal disease pressure developed, which could be contained through sensitivity and a lot of careful<br />manual work. The rest of the summer was largely dry and was only interrupted by short, heavy thunderstorms. Two hot spells had practically no negative effects. A<br />significant drop in the lowest temperatures began in mid-August. High temperature differences between day and night characterised the weather throughout the harvest. The<br />harvest took place about 14 days later than in the previous year. The white wines of the 2019 vintage show an impressive freshness, Gewürztraminer are characterised by<br />particular elegance.
