Moscato d'Asti DOCG 2022...

On the label the Latin phrase 'Sator Arepo Tenet Opera Rotas' means 'the farmer with the plough directs the work'. We chose it when we acquired the vineyard and<br />became its owners. It is a vineyard on the hill of Mango, a village in the Langa. We bought it in 1990. The letter G highlighted on the label underlines the transmission from<br />father to son of the knowledge of the vineyard: Giuseppe, Giacomo and Giuseppe again.<br /><br />Denomination: Moscato d'Asti DOCG.<br />Grapes and Vineyard: Produced with 100% Moscato d'Asti grapes from our own vineyard in Mango.<br />Winery: Maceration with the skins for a few hours in a horizontal press followed by pressing. White vinification with prise de mousse in temperature-controlled autoclaves for<br />20 days at about 4°. At the end of fermentation, stabilisation with refrigeration at - 4°, microfiltration and refinement in the bottle for a few weeks.<br />Tasting: Brilliant straw yellow colour, fine foam and rich perlage. Extraordinarily fresh and very varied bouquet, with fresh fruit, orange blossom, rose and musk among the<br />many notes. Sweet but very graceful taste, aromatic characteristic of grapes, delicious and with long persistence. Accompanies: fruit desserts, fruit, dry pastries, panettone,<br />hazelnut cake, special cheeses such as Castelmagno. Very pleasant as an aperitif and as a thirst-quenching drink at any time of day.<br />Serving recommendations: Serve at 6 - 8°.<br />

(Milena Vaira)<br />DESCRIPTION: Moscato is a beautifully aromatic variety that is deeply rooted in the winemaking heritage of Piemonte. We pick our grapes at full ripening, when the berries<br />start to be gold in color. Our dream is to bring all the perfumes, the freshness and the texture intact to the bottle.<br />VARIETY: 100% Moscato bianco.<br />VINEYARD AND TERROIR: Steep, old estate vineyards.<br />HARVEST AND WINEMAKING: Moscato harvest starts usually around the end of August. Picking decisions are individual to each site. Aldo always gives few more days of<br />ripening to this variety, which is a challenging decision in a crucial period yet rewarded by the beautiful fruits. Cold settling followed by a slow fermentation at low<br />temperature. Fermentation is stopped by drop of temperature, and the wine is kept refrigerated until bottling.<br />TASTING NOTES: Beautiful soft color with green reflections. Aromas of fruit with yellow flesh: apricot, peach, exotic fruits. Then elderflower, pear and a hint of sage.<br />Delicate and persistent bubbles, refreshing and cleansing the palate. The balance between sweetness and freshness continues in a long and creamy finish,<br />surprisingly savory.<br />

First born among the wines that make up the MOMA line dedicated to the world of art, the label bears the work Golden Glass by Milanese artist Beatrice Pani, first prize-<br />winner at the third edition of the Umberto Cesari Art Contest.<br /><br />Blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grown on medium-textured clay soils. The vineyards have an average age of 15 years and a yield of 80 quintals of<br />grapes per hectare. Fermented in vertical steel vats at controlled temperature for 12-14 days. Matured for 6 months in 30 HL Slavonian oak casks and a further 3 months in<br />bottle.<br /><br />Colour: light red with violet reflections.<br />Bouquet: intense plum, violet and red fruits.<br />Taste: pleasantly velvety on the palate, with the fruity hints typical of Sangiovese, the softness of Merlot and the 'balsamicity' of Cabernet Sauvignon. In the hot, deep vineyards in the south of South Tyrol, the<br />heat-loving Lagrein finds its suitable habitat. The FRAUENRIGL has a seductive fruitiness of wild berries, elderberries, black cherries and cocoa beans. The wine is enriched<br />with balsamic tannins during ageing in barrique barrels. The noble roasted aromas and the vital acidity are harmoniously combined with the powerful fruit body. The clayey<br />soil is responsible for its typical terroir characteristics, which lend the fruity finish a piquant spiciness (liquorice) and its individual earthy note.<br /><br />FRAUENRIGL: the mighty one. In South Tyrol, 'Rigl' used to mean something like small plot of land. Frauenrigl derives from the fact that women were the main landowners<br />in this part of the village over a hundred years ago.<br />

TECUM<br />PINOT BIANCO RISERVA<br />'Tecum' (Latin: with you/together) is the expression of unison, elegance, and harmony. This cool and mineral Weiburgunder grows in the selected single vineyard Buchholz,<br />above Salurn. The site is located on the cooler, eastern valley side of the South Tyrolean lowlands, at an altitude of 600 m and with a mineral soil of dolomite rock. Out of full<br />respect for the terroir and the natural cycle of the vine, the wine matures for 12 months on fine lees in large wooden barrels and in stainless steel tanks, to then develop for a<br />further 12 months in the bottle. In the process, it retains its structure and complex variety of aromas. The wine is bottled exclusively in large bottles to promote its shelf life.<br />The initials 'N.D.T', which can be found on the label, stand for the philosophy of the wine: 'niente di troppo', which translates into German as 'from nothing too much'. With<br />the 2017 vintage, each bottle is individually numbered by hand.<br /><br />Excellent as an aperitif, with white meat, strong fish,<br />risotto, grilled vegetables<br />Bright light yellow colour, floral, fine fruity, nutty,<br />balanced structure, full-bodied elegance<br />

The perlage is fine and persistent. Nose: bouquet of rare intensity and fragrance, in which the varietal fruitiness is<br />in perfect harmony with hints of honey, combined with notes of white chocolate, spices and citrus fruits.<br />Taste: elegant and harmonious, velvety-bodied and composite: the fragrances of acacia honey and ripe hay combine well with floral notes. The impact is noble and<br />remarkably persistent.<br />
